Default Valentine V1 Hardwire

Was wondering if anyone knew the best method to hard wiring a V1 into the coupe. Doesnt seem to be much out there, just wondering if anyone has one hardwired into the mirror or something.

I hardwired it into the mirror on my convertible. the plastic surround just snaps in place. Use a mirror tap product or something similar for your V1. I can't remember which pins but it was pretty easy to find a "switched" hotwire with an ohm meter.

The most difficult part was figuring out how to pop off the plastic cover behind the mirror to get to the internals.

There's a recent thread discussing compatibility of radar detectors and IR-reflecting windshields on the latest models. Worth checking out.

I also hardwired mine into the mirror with a mirror tap. There is a thread on here somewhere that tells you which wire.

If it's a 2017 don't bother. See above.
