Default VAP’s pops, burble and bang tuning and MPG

VAP provided me 2 tunes, 1 with and 1 without the PBB. Sometimes I throw the PBB tune in for fun but usually drive without it. I just noticed my MPG goes from 22 to 19 on average. Not sure if that’s from the excessive overrun or if I drive more like a hooligan with the PBB tune… probably a combination. Regardless, it’s a treat to hear the crackle as I ease off the gas but nice to have the option since this is my daily driver.

Anyone else notice the same?

The pops and bangs are unburnt fuel burning in the exhaust. This is deliberately done by the map, so increasing your fuel consumption and in many cases destroying the catalytic converter at the same time....

Does the tune without PBB have less pops and bangs than the stock tune?

It's almost normal with a little extra. It's drivable and not annoying

And I think the normal level is a bit annoying and unnecessary, so I thought that VAP tune could be a way to get rid of the pops and crackles.

You can always ask if they can lessen it happening
