Default VAP springs Ftype R RWD

So ive received two sets of springs from Velocity AP (Scuderia Graziani) somehow and im hoping someone can confirm with me which spring sets are correct.
Its for an Ftype R coupe RWD.
One set is labelled VEL-004
The second set is VEL-003-AWD

I know more than likely its obviously not the 003-AWD set...but now im starting to wonder if either of them are correct.

VEL-004 is for the I4, V6 and V8S. VEL-003-AWD is obvious and VEL-003004 is for the R.

So it looks like neither of these springs are for my RWD R?

Unfortunately not. At least now you can tell them what part number to send.

I have a V8R RWD and the VAP lowering springs. The back set is for the RWD and AWD and the front set is what has traditionally gone on the AWD only. I recommend this combination, and Stuart said a few months ago that they are probably going to ship this combination for the RWD going forward.

Don't panic - what you have may be correct - check with Stuart. The original RWD spring sets didn't lower the front as much as the rear and so Stuart recommended using the AWD spring for the front to get a more balanced look.

I may be looking for a set for my I4, will have the rears 305's matched to the front 265's and the H&R 15mm spacers fitted tomorrow, looking forward to see the wide stance, may lower although the roads in Ireland are crap, interesting to see that is VEL-004, what do these lower the car by, also Unhingd I will trim the cars bolts just back to the tread as dont want to touch the gyrodynes as per your post on this been an issue before.

15mm spacers on the rear do not work with 305 tires. If you hit a big bump or pothole, the tire will grap the lip and wrinkle it.
VAP springs lower the car by about 22mm.

VEL-004 is the Rear Spring for ALL the V6 & V8 FTypes. It is also the front spring for all the V6 cars, and for the V8S.

The 'R/SVR' models take a different front sping. We originally made a spring specifically for the front of the 2WD Ftypes. Many people fitted the AWD front springs on the 2WD cars and preferred them, so the 2WD versions were discontinued.

To date, unless someone has ordered for a V6 and fitted to a 2.0L without telling us, we have not fitted any of our springs to the I4.

Did the car throw any codes?
Any special procedures?

Thanks in advance.

I had my VAP springs installed by a specialist suspension shop and they had zero problems.
Zero effect on my active suspension and zero codes ever. No special procedures other than make sure you get a full wheel alignment afterwards.
Two tips to save you money/hassle:
1. The rear strut top bolts are under the carpet and some Styrofoam padding in the hatch area. Unclip and pull back the two side carpet/trim pieces (two or three Christmas tree clips each side) then fold the trim back and jam it up out of the way a bit. Then you can reach under to grab the Styrofoam padding pieces and pull them out, revealing the strut top bolts. Lift first then pull as they have holes in the underside which fit over the bolt heads. The bolts can now be undone easily without having to remove any panels or anything else, unlike the Workshop Manual procedure which tells you to strip pretty much every panel out of the hatch area! Be careful removing the Styrofoam pieces, they are longish, a tight fit, a bit fragile and a bit of a PITA to remove, I ended up snapping the RHS one in half but the two pieces went back in perfectly and no-one can tell it's now in two pieces. This will save you a ton of labour cost and may also save you broken trim clips and/or ill fitting trim pieces.
2. The rear strut bottom bolts and the struts themselves are a piece of cake to remove and any shop will know how to do it, but the fronts are not so easy, you need to unbolt and move out of the way a couple of front suspension components before the struts will come out.
I printed out the relevant pages from the Workshop Manual and took them into the shop so they could see what needed to be done without any guesswork, although any competent shop should be able to figure it out.

Sounds like im better off going with a specialist shop...
I really dont want any trouble.
Is there a workshop manual online that i can also print out for them?

Dazza, grab yourself a copy of the 2015 V6S Workshop Manual from my Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d52ciochjn...anual.pdf?dl=0
It differs from the V8 in only a few ways - engine (of course!), exhaust system, rear valance and diff but not much else.
The details you need are identical.

Aaaaand the drop is done.
VAP springs dropped the car alot further than i thought it would, especially in the front.

My spacers had to come off as they were 18mm and would rub for sure.
Time to have them shaved down.
Is 15mm all around the concensus with VAP springs and standard gyro's?

Side note: I turned up to the place only to hear my R being revved like crazy with the manager yelling "listen to this"!
Only makes me wonder how they test drove it then....not happy.
