Time to have them shaved down.
Is 15mm all around the concensus with VAP springs and standard gyro's?

Side note: I turned up to the place only to hear my R being revved like crazy with the manager yelling "listen to this"!
Only makes me wonder how they test drove it then....not happy.

15 mm spacers should be good as long as you don't go to 305 tyres on the rear.
But you will need to cut or grind 2 or 3 mm off all the wheel studs - is that what you meant by "Time to have them shaved down"?

Ok cool, should be fine then.
I meant shaving/milling the 18mm spacers down to 15mm from the same place that made them....hopefully.

But also youve just reminded me about the studs. The gyrodones had decent pockets, so hopefully they can accommodate that extra 2 or 3mm.

Yep, I thought you might be talking about having the spacers milled back to 15 mm.
But you will still need to cut or grind 2 or 3 mm off the wheel studs, I have checked on this forum and the Gyrodyne pockets are not deep enough to cater for 15 mm spacers.
As I have said many times before Blades are the only OEM wheels on the F-Type that I know of which fit over 15 mm spacers no worries without fouling the studs.

Dammit, okay.
Thanks for the info. Im reluctant to cut the oem studs as i will be changing to wider wheels with the correct offset without using spacers.

Thanks again!

You can still cut the studs no worries, there is around 5 mm on the end of them "blank" with no thread.

15mm will work fine as long as you shave 2-3mm off the end of the studs, and stick with the stock tire size(295rr, 255fr).

Has anyone ever tries 16mm spacers and shaving off end of oem studs?

16mm should work. If not, a rubber mallet should give you the necessary clearance.

Very nice, do you have any side profile shots? What drop in mm did the Eibachs give you?

Just an update...had the VAP springs fitted and i can feel the difference on bumps. It even seems like its a more bouncy ride...not sure if i like it or not. All in all the drop finishes the aesthetics car imo.

Shaved down the wheel spacers to 15mm and as advised previously i cut down the oem studs for the gyrodones.
The front i had to cut more...3-4mm
The rear was only around a 1-2mm cut

Finished product below with no rubbing.

What is the ride height from ground to wheel well with the VAP springs on an F-type? My current setup on (I think) H&R springs is 26" front and 27" rear, and it's a bit low at times. I'm looking to go with VAP to split the difference between stock and what I have now.

Ive got
680mm front
695mm rear
Agreed, the H&R's look considerably lower.
On VAP's still slowing down for speed humps in Sydney, AUS.

Interesting, thanks. So that’s about 3/4” higher in the front and 3/8” higher in the rear. Not as much as I would have thought, but still might be enough to make a difference.

Where did you fit them? I live in Gothenburg. I am interested in lowering the car. Did you just go to a regular mechanic shop? And how can you have a small license plate?
