100%
I doubt to see higher trap speed numbers but maybe 0.1 Sec faster time in the quarter with a so called “launch control” ... Who knows. Getting a car into the tens requires A LOT of traction and power/weight. I’d love to run a 10.90 but I just don’t think I can without shedding another 100lbs from the car and getting a PERFECT launch in the PERFECT weather/track prep.
I have yet to see Dyno numbers from 1 Viezu Run!!!

What all have you done to lighten the car, if anything?

Did what I could not much to save. Removed tire inflate kit, rear deck lid inside trunk, engine cover... The Velocity 200 cell cats vs OEM .. did not compare with a scale but def 10lbs saved there. Let’s say about 25lbs right now. I’m ordering Forged wheels this year. Hopefully can get 10.5-11x20 at 22-23 lbs max. That’s another 35-40lbs saved. I would also like to get lighter weight seats... maybe you have some info. A bolt on kit doesn’t seem to exist.

That’s all I could find but no info on make of seat or if it’s direct bolt on. Sorry for hijacking the thread

Additionally, you could save up to 40 lbs with 2 pc. (Wortec) rotors and 50 lbs. with a lithium battery.

Thank you for the feedback! Already look at the antigravity battery to replace the OEM unit. It’ll come after the wheels! I really like the OEM brakes. Will not touch them.

I'm literally 0.02 seconds away from cracking the 10s. It's totally doable in an AWD F-type R.

Last time out I ran an 11.04, 11.01, and 11.06 in succession.

Forged wheels gave me a noticeable feel over stock in nimbleness and power feeling , for serious weight drop removing them seats and doing a 15lb carbon driver seat would save 120ishLBs or more as I assume the stock seats are very heavy.

as for the transmission I love the way it shifts and it’s great in all aspects but it could use a little tuning. Whatever VAP has in store it will be top notch as always.

From a transmission tune? Calling that "not realistic" is incredibly polite.... TBH I don't recall ever seeing any Viezu cars get results on the 1/4 that match their power claims, so this is pretty normal I guess.

Guess I should have been more callous, but I completely agree with you.

We had a guy at the breakfast meet on sunday reckon his tuned svr has done a 10.2, no proof apart from a typed piece of paper listing his
spec.
Oh how we laughed

And deservedly so. You'd need some serious spray to hit those numbers. Now 11.2 I'd believe...

VelocityAP’s transmission tuning for the Jaguar F-Type was developed in house and fine tuned by our JLR factory trained technician to dramatically improve the driving experience:
  • Faster, Smoother Upshifts
  • Faster, more Immediate Downshifts
  • Increased Transmission Clamping Load
  • RPM Limit Increased (concurrent ECU Tuning required)
For those looking for faster acceleration times & 1/4 miles, this will shave tenths through quicker shifting, and also allowing the car to reach the 1/4 mile with one less shift required.
Looks like VAP finally posted a description for this product.
