Default SVR ECU tune

Those are definitely some notable gains at 50whp! Do you guys have any recommended installers in the Orlando/Space Coast region of Florida? I'd be keen on a tune and crank pulley upgrade; the upper pulley upgrade worries me due to the potential breakage issue of the stock pulley...

hopefully there will be a 13th anniversary sale in November of 2020, which will be 3 months after my certified warranty expires. As much as I want the extra HP/Torque, I am too much of a worry wart to void the warranty.

Tune ordered. $730 dollars for 76 horsepower, less than $10 a horse power which is a killer deal.

Thanks Stuart!

Nice bang for the buck, indeed. Tough to beat tuning the base model. Be sure to report back on it after the tune is installed.

Relatively speaking, I didn't do as well. I only got 55 Horsepower for $730. Still, that's about $13 per horsepower - I've seen folks spend much more on intakes and exhaust systems that net very small power gains.

Yes I am really curious about the tune. I was on the fence about it but the power loss right before redline and the extra torque that is advertised by the tune was too tempting. And I just don't like leaving all the extra power on the table.

Anyway, I will surely report back once the tune is done.

Hey Stuart!
I am trying to get a video of the exhaust asap but my guy has been in dubai!

anyway, quick question for you or anyone else... But I was looking at ordering the brake pads for my AWD V6S and it seems there are 2 different fronts available. I have the larger brakes with the red calipers, which set do I need?

The base front brakes are called "performance" and they are 355 mm.
The S front brakes are "high performance" and they are 380 mm, same with the optional "super performance" front brakes.
AFAICT red calipers signified either the high or super performance brakes.
So it's odds on you have the 380 mm front brakes.
Easiest way to tell for sure is to whip a front wheel off and look down the side of the caliper bracket/holder where you will see either 380 or 355 embossed into it.

Hi Stuart,

Got my sport pipes and tuner today. Amazing craftsmanship on the pipes! Well done.

Where can I go for install instructions for VAP parts? I’m sure they’re straightforward enough to figure out, but just want to make sure I don’t skip any steps.

Thanks!
Jon

The downpipes each have two stud/nut fasteners that hold them to the header. It's a ball & socket joint with no gasket. Remove these, disconnect the O2 Sensors and undo the circular clamp where the downpipe meets the center section. There is no under tray or anything, there are only 2 nuts and 1 clamp per side. Everything is easily accessible and you can see it.

Remove the pipes. Transfer the O2 sensors and then reverse the above.

Thank you! Simple enough.

Regarding the software tuner. Can I be sent the email instructing me on the process? Assuming it’s something like download some app on a laptop. Pull data. Email. Receive email back. Load data. Enjoy the ride?

Yes, we can email to you, if I know who your are or what your email address is

Although some programmers appear to have been sent without, there should be an instruction sheet enclosed so please check on that first.

Has the tuning backlog been extended beyond the 2-3 days on your emails? Still waiting for mine after mailing you the stock file on the 4th. Anxious to try the car before snow starts up here in PA.

Chris told me last night he is all caught up except for 1 last file. Did you get yours back over the weekend? Was set to tuning@Velocityap.com?

I got it, thanks Stuart. For some reason the edit button wasn't coming up on my post so I couldn't add the status. Thanks for the follow-up.

Default Sale

Is it too late to get the 30% off and if so, are you going to do another sale sometime soon?

Thanks,

John
