pity i'm not near you would give it a shot, on the 2.0 there is only one active valve, on a 3" pipe the other is 2.5. Maybe just use your box and have no valve/valves and block the active valve pipe. Bracket attachments are the same, same box on v6 as 2.0 just tailpipes differ and valves and pipe attachment size,
Do you want to send me one to try
What’s the point of doing that? The muffler would serve no purpose with that configuration. Just running straight pipes would offer the same effect and would be a lot less expensive.
Unhingd or Stuart might be able to help me with this. I had the Touring exhaust (V8) fitted to my v6S. I love it, sounds awesome and looks wicked, but aside from the change in tone when you put it in dynamic, I dont think that the "loud" button makes it any louder - it sounds to me more like the valves open by themselves at about 3000 - 3500 RPM, a bit like they used to on my XKR. Is that right, or should there be a different sound when you push the loud button?

The springs on the VAP valves are much stronger than those on the OEM, so the valves open at a lower engine speed as vacuum declines under full throttle. If you want quiet, drive under 3000 rpm or less than half throttle at all times. I leave the loud button turned off all the time and instead rely on the throttle to open the valves at will. It’s a beautiful thing.
I always put Dynamic mode on. Could you configure Dynamic mode to have Loud button off? I can't find it. I'm hoping the VAP exhaust with valves closed still makes the car civilized. And I'm hoping for holiday sales

Yeah, I dont think mine is any louder with the loud button (from engaging dynamic) on but I prefer the engine note of it in dynamic because it is more snarly especially with the revs up (remember mine is an auto so in normal mode it will be running at 2000 RPM or so). This isnt me justifying the spend (or is it?) but the 6 with the VAP quad exhaust sounds as good or better than an 8. The cost of doing it all is less than the stamp duty I was gonna spend on going up to the R or SVR so I actually feel like a bit of a winner.

Under 3000 rpm, the car is very civilized with the valves closed. Other than reprogramming with an SDD tool, I know of no way of setting up dynamic mode to automatically keep the loud turned off. It’s the only dynamic feature that isn’t user programmable in the dynamic setup menu. Since I have the H&R suspension, I never switch on dynamic mode unless I’m getting into some serious canyon carving.
We've been making the most of our nice weather - out doing some datalogging on the Flexray ECUs with a few of our mods. Lots of continuous improvement going on here.
Thought you might enjoy the unadulterated clip of the 200 cell downpipes with our valved exhaust:

Does the idle always sound like that(0:00-0:06)? Mine(stock exhaust for now, valve always open) only sounds like that after cold start, once warmed up it is barely audible.
I'm assuming your car was well warmed up and the 200 cell cat is responsible for the louder idle? Or was the engine actually cold?

What other exhaust mod was on the car?
It does if you push the exhaust button and open the valves. If your car doesn't have a button we can equip you with a remote kit to manually override the valves.

Mine does have the button but I pulled the fuse and disconnected the vacuum lines, so they stay open all the time.
I think the positioning of the camera on the rear might have amplified it, as I always listen to it in the cabin.
Hell I already have the 200 cell cats on hand, why am I asking any questions, just install it already haha.
Can your remote kit also over ride the valves to keep them closed on the V8 active exhaust? I need a way to 'reduce' the noise (db) from my exhaust while on a noise restricted rack track.
Also, if I am able to close the valves manually, will that harm the engine while I put my foot down to increase rpm over 3500?

Yes, it should be possible to set up that way, as long as you bypass the factory solenoid. It might make a little less power but I wouldn't expect any harm.
Ok, you have my attention. Can you send me details and a price quote that will allow me to remotely keep the valves closed. I sent an email to your VelocityAP email box.
