Hi Everyone,

Finally managed to get the 'After' chart on our V8 Software upgrade demonstrating 42WHP gains (55BHP Crank.) Sorry the last one is a little cut off, not sure why they didn't have data recorded lower down but I know they had some issues with the car wanting to auto-downshift on the dyno so may be related to that.

Mods, you mind removing the above spam post? It contributes nothing to the conversation and is pretty disrespectful to Stuart and his team.
Just a thought.
Thanks

New V6S VAP tune (with upper and lower pulleys) data will be available on Friday. Short shifter badly needed.

The clutch is holding up fine. It's the loose nut behind the wheel that is causing consternation. The dyno runs on Friday will tell the story far more accurately than I.

Need I remind you oh Unhingd one? Engine in the front, drive to the rear, and a big smiling piece of meat in the middle.

Here are the preliminary results for the Velocity AP tune with 2.5% reduction upper and 11.8% oversize lower pulleys adjusted for 85% drivetrain efficiency:

OEM output: 365hp 313 lb-ft
VAP tune: 453hp 370 lb-ft
(Max)

My tuner has declared that the tune is safe and has not weakened any of the key nannies. I will post charts and tables tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Tuned Brotherhood, shed your engine covers. They are capturing and not releasing massive amounts of manifold heat.

I think you're about to find out just how good your new clutch is - that's a serious increase in torque!

With great power comes great responsibility...

Looking good Lance. Glad we could sort it out for you.

Let the floodgates open!

Dave, the new clutch is solid. Next stop: short shifter.

Congrats to you and Stuart: that is a stunning result!

Can you clarify what you mean by "declared safe"? Do you mean thermal range, rpms, etc?

Air/fuel ratios, timing, detonation limits, at all engine speeds. Only torque management has been minimized, leaving it up to the driver to keep it between the lines and out of the ditch.

Do you recommend the cover be removed even for non-tuned engines? The theory seems sound given your testing on the tuned side.

It's particularly true on pullied SCs that are pumping out 50% more boost, but there should be value on OEM tunes as well, particularly if you are pushing the engine hard.
