When
we first loaded the tune to match the lower pulley, I did note a reduction in overrun sound, but VAP adjusted the tune to resolve that issue. I would presume that they have incorporated that fix into subsequent tunes they send out.
Haven't updated this thread much lately. Have another dyno sheet here for you. This was from a customer of mine in Austin, Texas. Wonderful guy and long time customer (he has an Aston we've done lots of stuff with.)
This graph shows the before & after on the supercharger upper pulley & tune as a combination. Nice 52WHP and 47WTQ. Backs up pretty nicely as the the testing work we did on the tune alone showed 42WHP gain, so another 10WHP picked up from the pulley.
Solid gains throughout the RPM Range of both torque & HP. Worth noting, we actually sent the tune to him much earlier in 2016 and have since made a couple of little improvements. I did send the updated software but they didn't realize when they ran it on the dyno. I'm estimating that there's another 3-4WHP in new tune.
Oh, I see. Thought the plot was showing the difference between the OEM upper pulley and replacement. It's OEM pulley and OEM tune, vs. replacement pulley and VAP tune. Duh!
I just got an F type R and I'm looking into your tuning platform. I noticed on your web site that the dyno graph image for the after dyno shows a max AFR of 20 on the bottom. When in the process of the dyno run was the AFR at 20?
I'm not super knowledgeable on this stuff but 20 seems really lean especially for a supercharged platform.

The dyno graph on our site has torque values on the LHS Axis, and HP Values on the RHS Axis. The AFR graph is plotted on there just to show what it looks like, but it doesn't correspond to the values on either of the Axes.
From memory we were running about 11.5:1 on the datalogs. Chris would know for sure. Either way, it's not super-lean or anything. We like to keep some safety margin in there for forced induction setups.

I was talking about the table on the bottom with min/max/avg numbers.
It was probably just some anomaly during a lift off or idle or something but I was just curious.
Indeed... baseline max was 14.6 and tuned max was 20.0. Sounds unusually high, in both cases actually, I would guess it's a measurement error or very brief jump after throttle lift?

I went ahead and ordered the tune. But I'm going to get a kiwi 3 and a phone app to monitor things pre and post tune to see what the ratios are.

Yes, it probably went to 20:1 or something like that on lift-off. Looks like the dyno didn't stop recording right away. On lift-off the AFR on most vehicles will go well above Stoichiometric (14.7:1) because it's not injecting any fuel to speak of when you lift off.

I figured that was the case. It just caught my attention seeing such a high number. Like I said...I put in an order earlier tonight anyway
Hi Guys, new member, just bought a perfect 2015 F Type S V6 and loving it! But, it can definitely use some help in the higher revs, I may start with the 200 cell cat. Does it make the car louder? Can I just add the cat without any ECU upgrades?
