If I got same ET gain I'd be over the moon as that would put me at a high 10.8s run, though of course it does not work quite like that.
I am still perfecting the car on the factory tune, once I perfect that, then I will probably VAP to sort me a crank pulley and tune.

My current PB is 11.28s, my next plan is to drop in a pair of ITG cone filters, these could potentially make me go slower as I will use the RAM AIR design of the stock intake, but on the plus side it may flow a tad better and cone filters also weigh less than those big stock heavy boxes, so we shall see if they offer any improvement or detrimental effect, of course they are been fitted more to induce external SC whine from the car, rather than performance, but of course I shall document how they they impact performance as well.
Then next thing I can do is 200 cel highflow cats, of course they will set of a cel for emissions but can still see how stock tune reacts to them, then at that point we can tune. I am determined to try and get an 11.1s run from the car before I tune simply because I know if I get there then it should be able to run pretty consistent high 10's.

I’m also pretty convinced my particular car is on the weaker end of the spectrum seeing other stock Rs running 11.3-11.4.

Stohlen is right. He's using distance, but the distance marker is just a signification of having the ability to reach X speed in X time @ X distance. I understand what your saying in comparison not to use speed vs distance but rather time. I used the 5.0 stock versus tuned because I know it traps close to 200kph, much easier to use as the example in relation to your test comparison against in a 3.0L stock versus tuned (200kph). In order to drop 1 second off your time vs speed of 200kph pass, you would need the ability of beating a stock F-Type S 3.0L 380PS by a good 5-6 car lengths in the 1/4 mile with your tuned with crank pulley F-Type S 3.0L. If you had the base model F-Type 3.0L with 340PS, I would say you have a good chance of dropping a second with the new power being in the 450bhp range. Being your car starts out with 380PS and not the lower 340PS model, the difference on paper I'd see in the milliseconds from 0-200kph stock vs tuned+crank.
Hehe, don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for you to see a reduced 2-3,5,6,9 second improvement. An unaffiliated test done by a client on our products, it'll be complete bragging rights for us at VAP

rs4 is a 16 s car to 200 kph, and s4 is a 19 seconds to 200 kph. Yet, after the revo tune, giving like 80 bhp more, the s4 is dead on with the rs4. Logic says the 3 seconds are wiped out.
see above the chris harrris video. It wipes out almost 2 seconds at 100mph

So can’t really draw a conclusion based on the R time slips for the S version. At 200 kmh I am pretty sure the delta will be at least 2 seconds. Not to mention about the delta at 250 kmh, that would be around 15 seconds I guess. This would be bragging rights 😀

Hey Fellows,
I have installed the tune only so far, the cranck pulley will follow once my garage will schedule it.
Did a number of racelogic measured runs, so the gains are as follows:
- 0.2 seconds for 0-100 kmh, at 4.88 now vs 5.1 before
- 0.6 seconds for 0-160 kmh at 10.9 now vs 11.5 before tune
- 1 second for 0-200 kmh at 17.6 now vs 18.6 before tune.
So this is only the tune. I would expect to shave another 1.5-1.6 s once I have the pulley (0-200 kmh)
Love the tune for now, looking forward for the cranck pulley, will be wild.

Patiently waiting for my tune from vap. I think whoever handles sending out the new files is on vacation because I haven’t heard from them in about a week. When I get the tune I will be posting up stock tune vs vap tune comparisons. Will try and do this for each mod as they come, lower Pulley and sport cats to follow.

Just installed the tune yesterday and all I can say is WOW. This is well worth the money spent. Totally transformed the car, it’s very noticeable on the v8s, especially in the the mid range area. To be honest I wasn’t expecting the difference to be so dramatic. Looking forward to seeing the difference on the dyno.
Only problem is now the realization sets in on how bad the stock Pirelli tires perform. I could live with them on the stock tune, I figured I would just wait until they ware out. Not now, I definitely will be changing them sooner than later.
Thank you Stuart!
