Default VelocityAP Products for '17 F-Type SVR

Hello all!

Looking for folks who have experience installing and utilizing Velocityap products on their SVR.

I'm specifically looking at the the crank and supercharger pulleys ( see link below).

https://www.velocityap.com/product/jaguar-5-0-aj133-supercharged-ecu-tuning-ftype-fpace-svr-xj-xf/

And I'm also looking at this high flow cat as well, link below.

https://www.velocityap.com/product/jaguar-f-type-200-cell-sport-catalyst-and-downpipe/

Main concerns
Does everything fit?
Anything I should make be concerned about when getting these installed?
Are these components really worth it?

Besides that any personal experience anyone has had using these products will be very helpful to hear.

Thanks in advance!

J.

I doubt many people are going to spend a couple of grand just to get ANOTHER 50 bhp on top of 575 !
No one "NEEDS" 625 bhp on a road car imho.....

Imho the velocity ap products are worth every penny
it's not about the final hp figure it's how it's delivered
to say no one needs 625hp is silly because no one needs more than a 2.0 diesel to get to 70 fairly quick but we still buy high power v8,s
The ap tune will use the xtra boost from both pulleys throughout the rev range and they even have a tune for imho again the already good gearbox
Give velocity an email they are a great bunch of guys and won't bullshit you and their expertise is superb and I am pretty sure the upper and lower pulleys and tune comes out at around 640 bhp

640 is at the crank. So has to go through gearbox, drive shafts and exles before it hits the road. A 4x4 usually loses around 20% in the driveline , so you might not see 500 at the wheels ( where it matters ).
Then its reliability , Jaguar would have done it already if it could be reliable, there will be a reason why they didnt.

Don't understand your logic
so the 575 has to take the same route to the wheels
so 640 crank is still good
Lister produced the Lister 666 f type
Of course more power possibly increases wear but as i understand it they achieved it without bigger injectors and merely uprated intercooler and pulleys and exhaust and tune and plugs
they did a lot of other cosmetic things but Velocity ap wouldn't be selling pulleys and tune without vast testing

To the orig op talk to velocity as I said they are very knowledgeable and helpful

Yes...I have all of their goodies and the car runs great. Definitely worth doing. The 200 CEL Cats make it even louder. The ECU and TCU tune are great. May want to consider additional cooling (Intercooler or WMI), I went with Water Methanol injection and it works well. All of the V-8 variants are about the same (SVR or not), so they all have the same "Potential" HP.

And if you have an AWD (not the older R's etc.) you do get more driveline loss...Typically assumed to be about 18% on AWD and 10%+ on RWD - But that applies to anything basically. So if you are at 575 BHP (SVR) , you are currently feeling ~ 472 @ the wheels. If you get up to the ~640 BHP (+65 BHP), you will be feeling ~525 @ the wheels, so you will notice. Also the TCU tune makes the shifts pop and moves up redline 200 RPM.

Good luck,
DC

With a Lower Pulley swap and ECU tune from VAP and their 200 Cell Cats I was consistently putting down 545-550HP at the wheels with AWD. Like TheRock said, you'll notice. At my local strip I was doing 11.8-11.9 in the 1/4 stock and now last I went with lower pulley and cats I was down to 11.3. I've got pretty much all their goodies as well. Everything has been pretty straight forward to install and their after purchase support is top notch.

Out of curiosity what other goodies do you have installed from VAP?

I've got their Springs, Valvetronic Muffler and 200 cell cats, I'm running their ECU tune and have their datalogger as well. I had already swapped pulleys and ran a viezu tune previously, but that's a story for another day.
