Default Volume Indicator

Do our infotainment systems have a volume indicator showing the volume level when volume is adjusted? If so, where?

you can enable it under audio settings but it lags haaaaard and is a huge pain in the *** -- I'd recommend leaving it off.

The quick answer is "yes". It can be enabled/disabled via the menu system although I don't recall the details. I turned mine off as it took over too much of the screen and stayed visible too long for my liking. That being said, there are times I wish I had a visible cue as to the volume level.

I know exactly how loud it is by listening to it.

Funny you should say that, I have a small Passenger Eject jpeg that I tried to glue to the top of the 12v plug in the dash but I could never get it to sit right (the curve on the top of the plug is the problem) so I gave up on it.

Do you recall how to enable it? I searched under the audio settings but couldn't find it.

On the center display, click these buttons in order:
[Settings] [Screen] [Volume Pop-Up] [On]

Terminology might be different on yours because of the earlier model year, or the feature not be available at all on the pre-16.

Got it enabled, thanks! I’ll try it out for a bit to see how I like it.

I believe Lance’s '16 has different software than our '14 and '15, but many features appear to be the same. My '14 has this.

I don't mind it. IMO, it is not displayed all that long.
