Water in F-Type trunk lid

Water in F-Type trunk lid
Hi - noticed when I wash the F-Type coupe, it drips water down the back end from the closed trunk lid for quite some time afterwards. If I open the trunk lid to dry out the sill then close it, when I close it there is a 'rush' of water that pours out of the trunk lid and down the back of the car. Is that "normal" or is there a blocked drain hole somewhere? It does seem to drain out the bottom of the trunk lid, but seems an odd design that it retains water inside the trunk lid itself?

Brit Cars,
I have noticed this, too. I think it’s just the result of a small, slow drain provision.
When I first got my car (with only 9K miles on it) I ran it through an automatic car wash. After the fans blew off most of the water, I pulled over and used their supplied microfiber cloths to wipe off the remaining drops. When I opened the trunk, I noticed that foamy water was clogged up in the drain.
I always wash by hand now, but still, the water drains slowly out and over the rear license plate. I use a hand blower, MF cloths and patience.
