waze comes to android Auto

That's a sharp point, so I guess let us hope that Waze will come to Apple Carplay and other headunits in the near future.

Ditto, it's truly outdated and way below what you should expect from such an otherwise awesome car.

I have Android Auo in my Golf R, google maps is pretty, Waze is tons better ... all still crap with Andoid Auto only offering streaming apps besides that. Google map compared to Waze on Android Auto destroys your data plan with constant pull updates. It locks your phone ... none of these services are worth a crap. Give the largest display possible that simply mirrors what I run on my phone ... no updates needed, no outdated maps, apps on a fixed installed expensive maybe even proprietary interface in the car.

Hi everyone
I'm brand new to Jaguar, just picked up my F Type two days ago. I have tried searching through the forums and on other sites but haven't found any good instructions on how to get Android Auto working in the F Type. Does it connect through the InControl Apps or something? Any advice on the best way to get streaming music like Pandora and Spotify working in the car?
thanks
David

1. Don't. Just stream from your phone.
2. Go get an aftermarket head unit that you can switch to that can use the built in screen. I've been contemplating doing this.
Sadly Android Auto (or anything from this decade) doesn't work in our cars.
Congrats on your F-Type btw! Aside from this problem it's an amazing car.

Interestingly, when I plug in my iPhone via USB, the head unit says its disabling Bluetooth, guess it can't have both active at the same time. So yes, I can play via USB, with Bluetooth disabled.
On my previous iPhone 4S, I couldn't receive phone calls while it was plugged into USB. Don't know if the new SE behaves the same way.

So this works with the F-Type and it apparently just got better?
Any developments or new users in this forum? I literally just DL, so not sure if it's any good. Just curious to other's recent experiences.
