In OEM trim, my V6S MT Coupe weighed in at 3687 lbs w/o fuel (3800 w/full tank) as compared with the factory spec of 3485 lbs. The Factory spec for the auto vert is 65 lbs heavier, so a true scale weight of 3752 w/o fuel should be expected. The fuel gauge does not read linearly, so weighing with a full tank is always best. I'm estimating that your vehicle weight less fuel is 3588 (I'm assuming a lower fuel density than you). That means you've shed approximately164 lbs validating the 156 lbs savings you were expecting.
I had to weigh my coupe V8 R 2015 to homologate in Spain and 1780 kg. Jaguar deceives us but in dynamic mode the car moves so well and makes you feel so much that the figures do not matter

Thanks for explaining the fuel mass Unhinged. Shedding approx. 160 lbs is quite impressive. I was inspired by you guys in the forum (do we have any female members?)
At least in CA, Guys includes both the male and female of the species.
“From weight" is clearly JLR speak for dry weight or the lowest number they could get in six tries and after emptying the cubby. I think it is disingenuous of them to speak of "from weight" which is not easily understood rather than Dry Weight which is a commonly used term or Curb/Kerb Weight which is the otherwise universal measure of a car's weight. Seriously weighing a car without lubricants or coolants or other fluids necessary for the operation of the vehicle is gamesmanship.
I have an admittedly early MY14 (<10K VIN) but I had figured JLR was just trying to mimic the 911's profit margin by leaving out all the accessories (home lite, power seats, seat memory, rear view camera, spare tire, infotainment system, zoned HVAC, etc), but maybe I was wrong and it was that they realized they had a porker on their hands and needed to reduce weight wherever they could.
I have an all stock 2016 F-Type R AWD Automatic with glass roof. Full of fuel she weighed exactly 4,049#s on the IMSA Daytona Speedway scales (fairly accurate ).
Thanks for sharing Matttheboatman. Interesting to see the weight for each wheel!. Shows that the weight distribution of your F-type is front:rear is 54:46. Not exactly what JLR tells us about our F-types. One would hope for at least 50:50 or even better something like 46:54, that would have given much more traction out of turns, especially for the RWD version. The F-type really should have had a transaxle that would have moved more weight to the rear and would've allowed to move the engine more towards the center and thus moving even more weight to the rear.
Also interesting to see that your car is heavier on the left than on the right. Were you in the car when it was weighed? (That would not make sense because that will make you around 50 LBS and from the picture that seems highly unlikely :-) )
With the VS03 wheels, Wortec rotors, and lithium battery, it looks like I knocked of 140 lbs, mostly in unsprung weight. That brings the car to 3549 lbs wet, no driver, no fuel. Previous Results

Great result Unhinged! Any chance to weigh the front and rear axle separately? (I am still intending to do so myself but my V6S Ragtop is in winter storage until end March - missing my F-type).
I was thinking of driving only the front and then only the rear axle onto the scale. I guess that could give some inaccuracies due to tilting of the scale and the related friction that it may cause. And I'll have to pay for two measurements (it is a ripoff amount corresponding to USD 65 for one measurement here).

That is indeed a rip-off. Here the "CAT" branded public scales cost between $10 and $12 and are laid out in separate sections so that trucks can get separate axle weights.

The public scales in Norway are free to use, so that must be one of the very few things that are less expensive here
A very good result in weight savings for you Unhingd (or more correct your car...). No wonder you can feel that in the way the car behave.
