I'm not convinced they look better with the cover off. There are a couple I've seen locally, and from certain angles they look like an aggressive supercar, and others, like a Hot Wheels (tm) designed by a 5th grader. Still, better looking than their predecessor. When you're driving it you don't have to look at it, so there's that.

I don’t know why but when I saw these pictures, I immediately thought of a bunch of Honda civics trying to steal the truck.

Frankly, I was angling for a C8 (which we're not quite available when I got my R) or a used Vantage when I starting sports car shopping. I like just about everything about the C8 aside from some busyness at the rear. Factor in some legit performance chops and an aftermarket that's overloaded with interesting improvements and options, it's a pretty compelling as a sports car bargain. But...I couldn't stomach paying at or above sticker and I was just too over the moon with the Jags looks. I think the C8 looks better in the flesh than pictures which tend to inflate the rear proportions (to my eye).

I think the bang for the buck (MSRP) is amazing and the car to me looks great. I believe they will continue to improve on the look. I am just sad to say I doubt I will ever buy one because they will be all over the streets. Similar to a Camry-doesn't mean it is a bad thing but just means everyone and their brother realize its a great car for the money.

i agree they look like 2 different cars. front end could be a ferrari or nsx with the mid engine architecture. i hate the back end. it makes it look like a corvette but it ruins the car IMO. it IS a huge performance bargain and i might consider one in 3 or 4 years, after GM has worked out the bugs. i'd never buy the first year of a major overhaul, especially one by GM.
