Default What color for my Coupe?

I had decided on Stratus Grey but then I saw the British Racing Green and now I'm not sure. What do you think?

For me, it'll be the F Type R in Polars White (I'm already having an XF in that colour)... Got it with the black pack and the black tornado-wheels (I love contrast)...

(On Monday, I've signed the contract to get one of the first F-Type Coupés in my country, and can't wait to get it - delivery will be around May 2014.)

Default More Contrast

Dragon, for more contrast you might want to consider (for a hefty price) the Yellow Carbon Ceramic Brakes with the Black Diamond Cut Storm Wheels which would give you a similar color visual of the XKRS GT.

I am a huge fan of both colors on this car. For me it came down to the Orange and White and I took the White on my vert. I believe the green will give you the true feeling of a British sports car. The gray will give it more of an elegant look and more buyers if you decide to sell later.

I'm partial to the Reds. BRG would be good if non-metallic, IMHO.

The coupe is hot!. Black/black/black with yellow seat belts, suede seats and accents, and ceramic brakes with monobloc yellow calipers (6 pistons will stop a freight train). Loaded with carbon fibre and an "R" badge.

I do. And I clicked through the photos in your first post and really do like the BRG, metallic or otherwise. It's bloody brilliant really. What a gorgeous car. I hope Ian Callum is with Jaguar for many years to come.

I looked at the F-type in all of the popular colors at a few dealerships this week.
Color choice is ultimately subjective, but here are some semi-objective observations:

1. The xirallic paint colors (see here) really pop noticeably next to the non-xirallic colors. The color depth, glitter and lustre just cannot be conveyed well in the brochures or on the website.

2. The Jaguar website configurator has terrible color reproduction. I have a calibrated monitor for design work, and the colors on the website are really poor representations of the actual paint. I thought the worst offence was Lunar Grey, which is several shades lighter in real life than the website version.

3. (ok this IS now subjective) I think the interior palette for the F-type is more conducive to grayscale exteriors (black/grey/white) than colored exteriors. There is a conspicuous lack of a lighter tan monotone that would work well with the blue, red, orange, and BRC paint. The color/tan complement has worked really well for ferrari, lambo, benz, aston, etc., not to mention the long history of Jaguars in BRC/tan combinations. [/soapbox]

I went stratus grey too, with the two-tone cirrus/black interior.

I wanted sapphire blue but couldn't find a matching interior i liked.

I'm not ostentatious, but my car sure is. Thought Salsa Red was too awesome on the convertible to pass up. I'd have to see it on the Coupe. From the pictures I've seen, the panoramic roof looks good with white.

I agree with Schraderade, the interior choices are limited; the dash and console are black (no choice there), so if you get a tan interior it is limited to seats, carpet, and door inserts. Not so great with exteriors like green, red, or blue.

The funny thing about beautiful cars like the F-Type Coupe, they look good in EVERY color. You see one, whatever color, and you go "Man, THAT is the color!!"

Tan shades go great with green, red and blue exteriors. BRG and Tan is a signature combo for Jaguar.

I don't know why the R Coupe doesn't have the option for a Brogue interior. It is limited to Camel.

Probably the only exterior color I don't like is Salsa Red. Non-metallic red on any car makes it look like plastic IMO. To me it is the only color that seems to do that.

Ordered my Type R in Polaris White with the Red Duotone interior and glass roof. Tough choice though, a beautiful car that looks good in several colors.

Looks great in white imo. Black on black is always a winner. Not a fan of red cars in general.
