These are awesome cars and we can expect a tremendous amount from them.

It's much better to drive someone else's car at the track

Professional drivers are just that
And they're very good

I don't listen well and have a lot of bad habits to break

Excellent track in Monticello and you get to experience all the f types as well as xjr at full throttle. Did 16 laps on the main 4 mile track. Hit 130+ on the back straight several times. Several laps on a neat little autox and played on a short oval for awhile. Worthwhile experience
I did learn that if you're in paddle mode and you hold the right paddle for 3 sec it returns to auto mode.
I also learned there's a track dsc mode in rwd cars

also no one at the event really knew about the cars from a sales perspective. I was curious about whether one was the new gray and another the glacier white. Theres no data on the cars and what looked as a possible glacier turned out to be a 2015 when that color wasnt offered

I used Trac DSC when I tracked mine. Launch control is only on V6s, at least that used to be the case. We discuss it from time to time, so try searching. But I've used it, and it definitely makes a difference.

My manual says to push the DSC button for less than 3 seconds to toggle between normal DSC and Trak DSC. Holding it for more than 3 seconds turns it off/on.

My drivers manual says it is a launch control on my R and it explains the procedure, but I have not tried it yet, so I can't confirm that it works.

Will have a try as soon as the weather gets better.

Now that I've passed 3k miles, I feel safe in trying the launch control. I'm planning to give it a go this weekend.

There is only one manual, which is written for all models. Not all models have all features.

Launch control for the US version of the AWD R Coupe is as follows:

Mash the gas
Hang on

That is all....

As sain on this thread and /or elsewhere. Launch control not available on the V8 (plenty of power...not needed). V6 cars can benefit from it (it activates a high rpm stall speed on the torque converter)
