What did you do to your F-Type today?

Is it at Brooks? If so, I'd trust the quality of the work, especially the finish. If done right, it won't won't be cheap regardless of the shop.

Did you have the factory mounting plate already on the front of your bumper? Were there holes left after removing it? Can you add a photo of the bracket install, I like this idea a lot.

Below is an install vid I found, I don't know what the "destroyed front end" is about LOL

While I’m waiting on the new plates from the state, I only have a rear temp tag on. So today I decided to remove the front bracket and found five drilled holes in the black section that spans the cowl. I’m not happy about that and will try to find some black plastic plugs to fill those unsightly holes. One of these new removable plate brackets will be on order later today.

- The cover for the bar is $216.00, I'd get a new one.

I'm thinking if you can't get to the fasteners from the top you might be able to if you remove the lower radiator protector. It also can't hurt to get a price from a body shop.

While I'd love to replace that section, spending the money on a body shop and/or removing the bumper and all that entails is not in the cards. I will wait for the replacement section to show up and see exactly how it is fastened to the grill. If it requires disassembling the car too much, I will just send it back. I'm hopeful that once I see how it is attached, I can work out a far easier plan than major surgery.

Time consuming yes but fairly straightforward.
I removed and refitted the front bumper on my old XFR three or four times and it wasn't at all difficult and it's much the same procedure on the F-Type.
Each time I did it on my lonesome but it would be easier with a helper to hold the other end of the bumper.
