those are memories that you have to bury deep or you will remember that bad trip for life.

I bought a bad batch in 2017 and if you read my sig line... Warning Warning. Melt down circuitry triggered. brain shut downs past memory neuronal pathways in 0.00000001 seconds for self preservation.

SinF, Thanks for the fine post. So JLR upgraded the plastic coolant pipes in 2017. I know whereof you speak, because they went out on my MY02 XK-8 in 2017 and that is why I bought the F. Too many things failing and wearing out. But that means for 20 years the problem existed before the fix. Egad.

I have been for ten years - when I had a LR 3 / Discovery 3 - , on this forum : https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/index.php

There are some mechanics on it, some LR dealers and even some fleetowners.. ... used to be the best forum from 2005-2019..

Now the cars have become too cheap to buy and its run over by people who can not really afford to run one.

That is : keep it running..

You can somewhat help the situation with brittle plastic pipes on F-type by removing car cover, as it lowers engine temperature significantly. However, doing so won't rejuvenate existing damage.

What is this forum? How about "What is this fabulous elixir?"

Yeah, this is somewhat obscure, but I need a break from ... stuff. This is a bit from Frank Zappa's "200 Motels."
