What is the real mileage of this car?
Hey guys, New to this forum.
I recently picked up my MY16 F type S AWD: Just picked up my brand new F type S awd! - Imgur
I have a quick question: What is the real milage of this car?
When I fill up at 100% I get 400 Kms (not miles I live in Canada) to the tank as the computer says.
I also haven't been able to figure out how to get to the milage display where it says how much mpg I'm doing. LOL
Thanks all!

Congrats on the car and welcome to the family/forum. Based on several discussions the mileage varies depending on several things. RW/AWD, regular/dynamic mode etc. We've seen long trips using cruise control as high as 30 mpg, but as low as 13 mpg driving the car in "fun" mode =). Also, I haven't checked myself, but some members have indicated that they track mileage and fuel consumption manually and is less (approximately 2 mpg) than what the Jaguar computer system says on the car. I know I didn't answer your question, but just giving a brief summary of what I've heard in discussion with other members of the family. Congrats on the car!!!

Agree the snap, crackle and pop doesn't increase our mileage, but sure is a lot of fun =).. You're welcome and glad you joined the community. I'm new to it as well, but everyone has been so nice and very understanding to all of my stupid questions. I learn something every single day from these wonderful people and appreciate everything they do as they take time out of their busy days to help/assist me and my new hobby. LOL..

The button on the end of the turn indicator stalk switches the display to different values, one of which is mpg. In the menu, you can select how the trip computer works. For day-to-day driving, I leave it on 'auto', so each time I start the car, it resets the trip values. For a longer trip, I may switch it out of auto, so I can have the mileage (and distance, average speed, etc.) for the whole trip.

The best that I've gotten from mine is around 22 MPG and the worst is around 17, both commuting stop and go. 22 is when traffic is good. 17 is when I take the back way home once a tankful and hammer it like it should. I suspect that when (if) summer comes to the Peoples Republik and I take the back way home 3 times a week, I'll be down to 13.
YMMV

I just tested today on a 80 km trip on the highway (both ways so no height difference total). Tried to drive as "gentle" as possible, average speed was 102 km/h (top 120km/h, low 70 km/h), used the cruise-control about 50% of the trip and the result was 8.5 l/100 km (on the display).

If you or the dealer switches the car to non-metric display, the MPG will be in US gallons and not Imperial gallons.

Reseting the mileage computer function
Do I need to go into a 'sub-menu' or simply hold down the 'OK' button after the car starts? When I held down the 'OK' button, nothing happens (i.e. don't get any sort of confirmation that anything is reset).
