What would be a good deal on a 2017 F-Type R?

You'll drive yourself nuts going for the "best deal possible." After doing your research and negotiating as best you can be satisfied that you got the best deal you could get. Besides how can one know what the "best deal possible is"? Out of curiosity how many dealers have you contacted. 87 sounds like a good deal to me. Is there a car at 86.5 maybe, but at some point you simply have to pull the trigger.

How does that work is it still considered a new car and warranty goes by the date of purchase. Also on resale would you be considered the first owner and how do you explain the milage to the next one if they pulled a car fax

Jaguar goes by "in service date" which is the first registration of the owner, whether that be the dealer or an actual customer. So the warranty and mileage clock starts at that time. Similar to most other makes. I believe the dealer only punches the registration for themselves if it helps their quota to have "sold" the unit. In those cases the dealer is the first owner and the clock it running...

When you go to resell it the number of prior owners is not of any impact to the resale value.... at least not here in the states. A used car (after he is done with it) is simply that, a used car. # of prior owners is inmaterial
