Gentlemen: Although you technically didn't do it, PLEASE refrain from using the words...well, you know*...in the same sentence as Jaguar F-Type.

It's unseemly and conjures up images I'd rather not associate with our Jag's**.

Carry On.

*Good one Clay!
**Now I'll have to seek out a picture of our Jag's with some gorgeous girl/woman to erase such thoughts. If you have one, please send my way.

Just be sure the good looking babe you go find doesn't have a case of the Herp... Wouldn't want to get it on your seat...

While I always enjoy reading your posts TXJagR, you simply must do better (sorry). I had originally wrote (if not thought) of adding that painfully - literally, I think - obvious comment about the girl/woman but thought better of it.

Now can we PLEASE change the direction this thread is taking?

I apologize. Maybe these will help make it better.

Notice how they're both Salsa Red convertibles? (The cars, I mean.)

Maybe for the European market, but my dealer said emphatically NO. Of course, we all acknowledge the veracity of dealers.

1. Rear Camera resolution could be better
2. Nav entry is slow. Voice activation not available. My 2013 BMW has a far better camera and also voice.
3. Seat belt is non adjustable - groans when driving on a rough road, of which we have plenty!
4. Too damn much brake dust!!
5. Eco Mode - but I feel like a pilot doing pre flight checks - eco mode switched off, check, exhaust switched on, check, transmission in S mode, check!!

All minor annoyances, but I really dont care. I love the car!

2016 F Type R conv.

1. The Pirelli tyres
2. Useless sunvisors
3. No ceramic brake pads
4. ECO mode (at least I can disable it each time I start it)

Other than these few things I am completely happy and amased at what this car is capable of.

you can also disable it permanently by pulling a cable in the trunk -- search for threads on how

1) I'm personally not a fan of how much the car sways when pushing it hard on curvy roads. The car likes skip/hop on uneven surfaces and I don't feel glued to the ground when pushing it hard. The extra weight of the R doesn't do much to help here.

Lowering the suspension resolves that problem on this car (higher/progressive spring rates).

I am still in the honeymoon phase, but I love this car. Like many on here, I have owned many sports cars from 3000GT VR4s to Porsches and nothing I have had previously even comes close to comparing to the miles of smiles and embarrassing giggles this car generates. Even my quite picky fiance is in love with this car and her only complaint is the useless sunvisors. I got the "It's only 2 1/2 inches" to which I had to respond with the inevitable "That's what she said." ...so it has a few quirks, but OMG the sound!!!

Love the car, but:

1. Nearly useless nav system
2. Lack of room near clutch pedal, no dead pedal to speak of
3. Stock Pirelli tires are awful, forcing you to spend on tires on a brand new car
4. Inaccurate digital engine temperature readout on dash

Brake dust and reverse camera resolution are it for me. ECO would have driven me crazy so I disconnected it.

Actually, the biggest pain for me is that my daughter wants to drive it everywhere and comes up with all kinds of plausible excuses to do so. Last week, some fella had broken up with one of her friends so the girl needed a drive in the Jag because it would "make her feel happy." It makes me feel happy too. I can live with the camera and brake dust.

Like my other late model jag, the soft clear coat. The finish on these things will mar if a leaf lands on the hood.

After all the mods, one huge complaint left: I don't have the time to drive it as much as I'd like. I'm feeling another ROADTRIP!

2016 F Type R AWD Vert

1. The Meridian radio systems sucks! Can't believe how bad it is.
2. No Dead pedal so you will wear out the carpet
3. At least have a floor mat which covers the dead pedal area.

No rear grip.

I don't know how you guys with real horsepower manage it! My driving style is "fast out" so I like to use a lot of throttle from the apex out, and that sets off the nannies! Boo!

It came with Conti tires, and I hope that's the main problem.
