Default What's the part called under the front spoiler?

Hello experts.

I'm scrolling and scrolling through a service manual for my 2016 F Type R and am now blind, unable to find the part number or even the name of the part I'd like to replace. It's the part that scrapes away everytime you bottom out the front trying to get into and out of driveways with a steep approach angle. I recently noticed that somehow I am missing several of the bolts that hold those pieces in. subsequently, the center portion has ground down one side. it looks like a chipped tooth now. Ideally, I'd like to replace all three pieces, the center as well as the left and right side. I'm also looking for the fasteners too, just to have them on hand.

Any sources would be appreciated!

Front "Air dam"? under the Front chin spoiler

I'm missing a few of these bolts. I think a 7mm with a washer of 7/8" and 3/4 inch long course thread

See this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...light=whiskers
Edit - not much help - I know there is an old thread around here somewhere where Unhingd has posted up the part numbers of the three parts which make up these "whiskers" so I will keep looking. Gawd I hate the search function on this forum, it is the worst ever!
Edit 2 - found it - it was my post but that link no longer works, try this one instead: https://parts.jaguarpalmbeach.com/a/...S/4760010.html
Items 20, 21 and 22 on that page.

Thanks!! I read the thread.
Yes, the Search function is basically useless here.

I expanded my search beyond Ebay motors which yielded unsatisfactory results and found this site.

The exploded view seems to indicate that it is the correct part but it doesn't look like it has the proportions. I'm not certain this is the correct screw either but the exploded view doesn't show another fastener.

Jaguar Parts Estore
Spoiler Center P/N : T2R11275 - $34.17
Left side P/N : T2R11277 - $39.24
Right side P/N : T2R11276 - $39.24
Wheelhouse liner screw - P/N : C2Z3858 - $2.86

Seems reasonable, I'll search these numbers on Ebay to see if there are similar parts, or even pictures.

Thanks for the help. I hope this helps others in similar predicaments as me.

I am preparing to R & R my deflectors. 2017 F Type S Vert w/ 18K mi. Would these part #'s apply to mine? I am not looking for the cheapest price...quality and service are far more important to me. Any suggestions on where to shop?
Thank you all in advace!

I replaced my front spoiler pieces last year and purchased all new screws like you are showing. They are part # C2D14469 $1.77 EA was my cost from local Jag dealer.

Rondog,
Thanks for the Screw part number. I am currently using a few 1 5/8" course thread drywall screws with fender washers and am not proud of it. I am wondering how long the center piece was dragging under my car as one side was worn so much it now looks like a chipped tooth after I re-attached it.

It would be amusing to walk away from the Jag dealer with a bill of $10!

I imagine the spoiler pieces will be typical OEM Jag dealer pricing so I'm leaning to sourcing them from somewhere else.

Can you confirm the 3 spoiler part numbers too?

Hope this helps

When I removed the front fascia to build my custom grill I noticed these parts were looking pretty rough, so I simply used a wood planer to trim about 1/8" off the bottom.
If the damage was extensive I can understand replacing the pieces, but this is a quick way to fix minor scrapings.

I've used a sanding block as recommended on an earlier post for years, and it has kept it up pretty well.

I'm planning to remove the fascia and install a custom grill. Any tips or warnings? I've already seen these threads. Thanks!https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...native-260156/

Michael,
Below is a link to a video I did when I pulled the fascia off mine. Pretty easy, actually.

Two things not mentioned in the video:

-It is better to disconnect the sensors from underneath before trying to pull the fascia as I did. Once the bottom pan is dropped you can reach up right in front of the inner fender, green connector, drivers side.

-When reinstalling the fascia, make sure to check the alignment underneath, right behind the little spoiler discussed in this thread. I recall part of the fascia had to fit into some tabs on the lower pan(?). I had to partially remove it later and reinstall it properly.

Jay
