Default Wheel powder coating in Austin

Hello all! I am picking up my FType R today, with the 20" Gyrodyne wheels. I haven't seen these wheels in person yet, and I am on the fence about potentially having them powder coated black. I may see them and love them in person, but if I do decide to have them powder coated, I am looking for a place who can do this locally, or semi-locally.

My question to people who have had this done is, do most places require you to take them the wheels only, or drop the car off, and they take them off there? Logistically, I can't take the wheels and tires off, so I am curious if anyone can recommend a place in Central Texas who can handle that from start to finish.

Thanks all!

Do I assume correctly that you have the silver Gyrodynes? The black/diamond-cut version really needs no improvement.

Nope, the black-diamond cut are the ones I have. I may change my mind once I see them in person, but there's a lot going on with those wheels visually for me, and I like a super simple, minimalistic look..

All personal taste of course, but I have these wheels on "Ammonite" convertible and they look outstanding! Again, all taste, but you may want to consider selling these, and buying rims that make sense for you. May make a few bucks if "worth the effort". However, I am guessing on this fact.

Bottom line, all taste, but the wheels you are getting are awesome!

What color car? Agree with slojotaa, they look really good on the darker colors.

Not too much going on visually here (especially when they're covered in brake dust) lol

Don't touch them! You'll love them once you see them in person.
Now if they were the silver painted gyros...then go right ahead!
