Default Wheel Weight Vs. Performance

Anyone know how much the 20 inch blade wheel weighs? Is it forged aluminum? Will a lighter wheel improve performance?

A lighter wheel will absolutely improve performance. Not only will it improve steering response, turn in efforts, and to a lesser extent, grip levels; but a lighter wheel improve how much horsepower you can put to the ground by reducing driveline losses. Rotating mass is the most important weight reduction you can do.

Yes, a lighter (and smaller) wheel will yield better performance. Less unsprung weight.

Light weight 18" wheels would be ideal. I wish there was more afternarket support for these cars. Im coming from an M3 where you can change every single part on the car to your taste or to perform better. Seems like there is nothing for these Jags, not even a good choice of rimms and suspension

just not enough f-types being produced to warrant a significant aftermarket trade

There are plenty of brands with custom forged light wheels for f types. Need to pay the cost.

I don't believe 18's fit over the bigger performance brakes. There was a discussion recently on this.

I think I dropped ~40lbs of wheel weight when I swapped on my new 20's...didn't make a single difference in acceleration for me.

Will need to defer to the track guys for road course feedback.
