The sound file must be in mp3 format and no larger than 5Mbyte.

My 15 R has never reved above 4K when in park or neutral. I think this is how it is with all F-types, also the V6 from what I have seen in different videos.

I'm no expert on the V8 sound but I'm inclined to agree it doesn't sound quite as rorty as I'd expect...

So yesterday I took my car to the dealers for a test drive with the manger and after a good test drive his response was
At low speed below 30 and high Rev it's fine
At any other speed no sounds even while holding gear on paddles
In sports mode even quieter which he was very surprised at and I hadn't really tried.
A noise on the engine that shouldn't be there which I had heard but was more concerned about the one fix that it kept going in for.
So it's the two week wait again for JLR to get an engineer out again.
So sum up I'm not mad or deaf or a time waster and my car is not running right also seams to be a loss of power but weather over here isn't the best so may end up on the dyno in the near future.
Trust me if you had brought a v8 f type and it sounded like mine you would understand how I feel the sound clips don't give a true summery of the sound and that I was trying to get the most sound out of it not normal driving.

I hope you get it sorted this time. It's obviously not performing as it is supposed to do.

Glad to hear you're getting some attention from them finally. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

RichV8 you are not going mad - I have listened to that over and over and it sounds very different to our V8R. The overrun when tested stationary sound quite odd without the burbles and pops compared to just about every other F I have heard.

The second recording is a little quiet in the cabin to distinguish, but it again sounds like there is something definitely missing...rorty, snorting, hippo has gone ;-)

Are you sure there is no restriction in the system/cats?

Agreed, I also believe you now and hope you get it sorted out.

It was a little hard to follow in the beginning, which led myself and others to have doubts. Good luck!

Yes something is deff not right. I know when I'm on the gas or coming off it always is making some types of crazy noises and is out of control. Nothing better then that! I would be so pissed because honestly that is one of my fav things about this car. Make them fix it or sue!!!

My 2016 R went in for service and when I got it back, the exhaust is in permanent loud mode -- whether or not the exhaust button is depressed. I have to take her back to find out what's wrong. My sense is that when they incorporated the oxygen sensor TSB, they somehow left the baffles in the open position. Annoying.

I think the bypass valves "fail" in the open position, and the vacuum closes them. It might just be a vacuum hose loose. Good luck.

I just had my 2014 V8S serviced, and they performed the O2 sensor recall / software flash.

First impressions on drive home - while the pops and bangs hadn't disappeared it appears to be significantly subdued.

Previously lifting off in dynamic mode released a salvo of cracks and bangs - post service it seems there are almost none

In dynamic / sport it used to be almost embarrassing and provided lots of crackling even very low down in the rev range - I was having to give it a good boot and lift off at high revs to make it crackle on the way back from service today.

I took delivery of the car new in Feb 2014. Maybe it is an issue with the earlier cars and the software revision?

Will report back with an update once I have had a chance to drive it some more.

If you listen to the exhaust note in Jaguars SVR video, the backfires, pops and bangs are gone.
