Might have been circumnavigating some rough weather.

You are correct sir. I've seen them do that in the past as well.

...Looks like the TOSCA has been delayed at least a day.
The wayward ways of the captain made him miss his ETA this am ;-)

The port of Halifax lists the dock time of tomorrow at 8am and the W&W site now lists an ETA of 09/07/2015.

Here's hoping for a speedy trip from Halifax to Toronto... especially after reading Lance's review today.

Yeah, sucks about the delay. VesselTracker.com is showing an ETA of 6am tomorrow. Tosca seems soooo close to shore (see pic attached), yet so very far away..... I was looking at the CN shipping times, it looks like a 5-7 day trip from Halifax to Toronto....

EDIT: In looking at the data, it actually looks like the ship is current stopped -- do they get to anchor the ship to sleep Either that or the ship is being attacked by pirates.... the pirates off the coast of Halifax are known to be ruthless....

Marinetraffic.com shows the ship is "underway using Engine" at a paltry 1kt.
It seems that they need to wait for a designated arrival time given to them by the port (perhaps when the AutoPort is available to receive cars).

So tomorrow it is.

Also factor in a day or two at Concord to offload and then get on a truck for the final leg.
CN rail should should be under 5 days, but just depends on the railcar scheduling. If you have a friend in logistics with a CN Rail account, they can track the VIN too.

Odd, the AutoPort is opposite to where the Tosca docked, on the other side of the bay.
All my previous cars were offloaded on the Eastern Autoport.

Interesting.

I betcha that it moves later today or early tomorrow to dock at the Autoport.
If I'm right, you have to come over and show me your car!

haha, I had the same suspicion.
Google maps show's a lot of rail lines where the TOSCA docked, perhaps they roll the car's off directly onto the railcars....

We'll definitely have to setup an F-type meet/drive on TO.

If it's a roro/container vessel, it's probably offloading the containers first.

I looked at the Port of Halifax Web site. It had two separate lines for the Tosca, one for today and one for tomorrow.

Now I will send you a PM with some special insider info.

You'll get it earlier than that.

Now go and buy some PanAm tickets to take your mind off the car!
