No lowered cubby-cover on my 2016, 8-speed.

Yes, that center console design is for manual cars only. The console design in automatic cars would make for a very awkward shifting position.

I wish the cupholder part was an insert that I remove for more storage, and had a sliding cover. I also really miss the optional sunglasses holder my C30 has. It replaces the grab handle above the driver's window and is a really convenient location for glasses.

Lol... I've had that nearly a decade. I can't just up and replace it. It's still the best cup I've found and it fits every car I've had since the TT.

For questions about the electronic parking brake, this document will tell you anything you want to know (and then some), although this is from the era before the manual transmission came out. But I couldn't believe how sophisticated this thing is.

Another member had posted it (along with other technical docs) and I grabbed copies of everything.

My heart sank when I lost my month to research, prep, plan, and move money around when my Oct turned Sept arrival for my build showed up... TODAY. I couldn't pick it up, but I am grabbing it in the AM and literally, luckily, driving up to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. It's like winning the lottery. I was going to drive up a 4 banger 20 year old Wrangler. WOOOOOT.

I did take it for a test drive, and I am really impressed. I am 6'6", and there was about 25 moments of seat arranging panic when I wasn't sure I could clear my legs, knees, etc. Being tall, I know there are issues... I can't set my Wrangler parking break without opening the car door due to knee-to-steering wheel clearance.

My leg is long enough that the left of the clutch is actually a nice foot rest area for me, as I extend all the way. The pedals are worringly close for a guy with a size 14 foot, but I think this is just something that works itself out after more drive time. It's a marvelous and impressive piece of machinery.

It's a non "S". I didn't want to spend $10K for 40hp and 1 second in the 0-60. I was planning on a $70K car that got to $90K, so I am happy without a colorful button.

I am worried about the plastic shield and driveways. This is something very new for a guy with Wrangler lift for decades.

Anyhoo.... enjoy. More pics to come. Hope you likey. 4 miles is pretty cool.

I didn't get the S for the extra 40HP and don't care that much about 0-60, but did want bigger brakes and a limited slip differential. Even 340HP should have a LSD, at least by my reckoning.

You will need to watch driveways. I've rubbed the sacrificial plastic thingies a few times already, including on a rural road, far from driveways. OK, it was more of a goat path, but still ...

Oh, congratulations! Enjoy the road trip!

Uncle Fishbits, is that a camel interior? How about some more pictures showing the top and interior?

Dig the green. Wish these colors looked in pictures how they actually look. All except that red one are so much better in person.

I have them on the F-Type, and they look fantastic. I'll try and get a pic of them on the car at the service center tomorrow.

Did you get sequential or personalized plates? I have personalized on order and it has been a long wait. Ordered in January, got confirmation in June and expect them in September. I wanted a simple 2 or 3 digit number plate. Ended up with 3 digits which was tough to get because every other combination was taken. Anxious to see a picture of your plates.

I know government bureaucrats that multiple times as long to do simple tasks as it takes in the private sector, but what's going on here? That's crazy.

Anyone else mesmerized by the Jaguar emblem in the rear view mirror when the rear spoiler activates at high speeds? I love seeing that cat!!!

Also look for the flashing blue lights just above the leaper in your rearview mirror.

I love doing 70-50-70 sometimes to see the white cat (my cat has been white out).
