Who has ordered the 6 speed?

If even that, because the calipers can be had, apparently, for around $1,500 and I might source the rest elsewhere, cheaper.

Right, if you can do that, go for it. But it doesn't look like you can get the option without getting the 'S'. It's not showing up on the site anymore for a base. $2,000 for the LSD, $3,200 for the brakes, $1,000 or so for the tune is my plan of attack.

The standard features, options packages, and combinations for the F Type variants got quite an overhaul for 2016. Some things that were optional are now standard, some options are no longer available for model variants.
I had a spot in line at my local dealer from November for the first 6-speed, but once options and pricing became available, I took my best shot and went forward with the order.
I probably could have figured a cheaper way but I think the build is a good Enthusiast's Pack. I wish I'd been able to exclude a few standard items to reduce weight and complexity, but I'm not the typical buyer, and the bundled options are aimed at the most common desired configuration.

Browsing the 2016 Owner's Manual, came across the Gearbox operating instructions. The instructions for proper operation of the automatic transmission are over 2 and a half pages long. Here is the entirety of the instructions for the manual transmission:
What a simple and elegant solution to gear changes.

on my race cars, I would only use the clutch to start them rolling in first gear. Otherwise, the shift is too slow. Best to have straight cut gears with no syncros, for this type of shifting. Where's Doug Nash when we need him most?

I checked with my dealer today and was also told that the production / ship dates have moved up -- same as yours -- June build -- ETA at dealership July.
He didn't include the exact days in the email so I'm assuming the landed date is also July 31st (ish).

"Perfect, no, but the F-Type V6 S manual gets our vote as the car. We say that not because we’re happy it exists, but because it’s the car we’d most enjoy driving on a daily basis, even with the occasional track day. Any reluctance to make that call -- that the V6 S manual is the F-Type -- has nothing to do with the effort or tedium of working a clutch during a morning commute, or when you’re queued up leaving a ball game or a show. It has nothing to do with forgoing the prestige associated with the V8’s R badge. The reluctance is simply that we’d enjoy the R’s 170 extra horsepower."

I'm still waiting on confirmation that my build will also move up.
As of earlier this month, my build was slated for the week ending July 3rd, with a factory complete date of July 13th.
See the attached image.

That means it's in the paint shop now and your car should be done by the end of this week. I wonder why they have targeted the end of next week as the completion date. Did you get your VIN yet?
