Who has ordered the 6 speed?
#121
My time lines are similar to everyone else's, with a late July pick up date, so maybe they will loiter in the UK for much of June before their Atlantic crossing.

I am going to guess the first wave of 6 speeds are all getting built together, maybe 3-4 weeks worth of production. Then they ride their various boats together. It seems mine and lhoboy's were pretty close for start and finish dates, so maybe the factory does similarly configured cars together in batches.

Yeah, just random guesses based on orders, when they are being built at Castle Bromwich, and when they are going to show up in the US. For lhoboy and myself, it looks like the car may be complete and not arrive for about 6 weeks.
Care to speculate on the mechanics behind the 6 week lag, Stohlen? Probably can't be any cheesier than mine.

Shipment time from the plant to your dealership is usually 4 weeks. This is typical for all European assembly plants. As for the remaining two weeks, usually cars hang around the plant for a week after they are built, they go through end of line inspections and testing for quality control purposes, and anything that is noticeably wrong is corrected. 6 weeks isn't a shockingly long time. Don't be surprised if there is a port hold for something too, just like there was with the AWD units.

As much as I am blown away by how good the ZF auto is, I very much miss the 3rd pedal.

Another 'silver lining' to the timing of delivery -- incentives/financing deals on the 2016's are said to start in July.

So checking the W&W site here: Vessel Schedules plugging in Southampton as an origin and Baltimore as a destination, shows that the next ship to leave is MV Courage, which Marine Traffic shows as tied up at the pier in Southampton.
As I don't have a VIN to shipping manifest hit, it looks like we have:
MV Tamesis - sailing the 11th
MV Integrity - sailing the 11th
and MV Parsifal - sailing the 16th
As the next candidates.

If you're taking delivery of your baby in Dallas, you're car will be unloaded in BRUNSWICK, GA. (The ship will most likely stop in Baltimore, then Charleston, and finally Brunswick. It will be trucked from Brunswick to Dallas. (...which will take about a week or so, as they transport will have stops along the way to Dallas.)
