I would. I'd then ditch the Camaro. The only problem is how to explain to wife!?

Funny you mention the Holden. My son loves that car which is sold here in the US as the Chevy SS. Quite the "sleeper" car. Vet power and beefed up handling in a rear wheel drive 4 door sedan. Drove one and I actually liked it. Too bad it's only got two more years to live as a model. They are shutting down production.

I like Camaro, had Z28 many, many years ago. Would not have it instead of Jag, soooo different. Nice toy tho!

I'd enjoy a pristine first generation. (I actually had a '69 strictly for drag racing. Lots of fun for that application, but as others have stated, I wouldn't trade my F-Type for one.)

Yes, I probably shouldn't have sold this one.

Love the looks. But it has the same problem my XKR has which is a deal killer. Cannot put my arm out the window comfortably. Although in my XKR I don't seem to mind. And I do not like seeing what I'm driving 15 times on my way to work.

Truth is, none of the iconic muscle cars from the 60's and early 70's were good drivers compared to almost anything today. I collected a half-dozen or so, but got out of that hobby, in large part, because they just weren't very much fun to drive in comparison.

On the other hand, there's no denying that their modern descendants are very, very good. However, because they are more attainable price-wise, they are perceived as "pedestrian."

You see that dynamic operating in this forum from time-to-time with some members here lamenting the availability of V6 F-Types stickered at $40K less than the "prestige" models.

No denial here that modern american muscle cars can hold their own in terms of quality and power on the dollar. To me, the Camaro is the Seiko of the watch world... Keeps time, has had longevity, made with decent parts and has had a mass following for decades. Unfortunately, this is the same reason I don't wear a Seiko.

I drive my 2015 F-Type S, and my fiancee drives a 2013 Camaro 2SS. Having both at my disposal, I still prefer the Jag but the awesome growl of the Camaro can't be ignored. Both fine cars, but so very different.

The F-Type is sleek, sexy, and refined while having a ton of power and amazing handling. The Camaro is raw and aggressive, and has a commanding presence on the road.

I get more looks and nods of approval in the F-Type, but get more race attempts when driving the Camaro.

Not quite yet, they have both given hard end dates, within the next two years but both are still making their final local editions and both are making exceptional cars for the money.

Well at least the looks aren't misleading.

Definitely "no" on a Camaro. Two reasons:

- when I turned 16, I got a new one - piece of crap at the bottom of Detroit's quality cycle. Old memories die hard.

- my ex-wife's husband has one - presumably bought with my money (since the divorce left me 45% of the man I was before...) but I think it suits him and I've done much better on the second wife...
