Default Why I LOVE this car

I've had it for about a month and it makes me smile every time I look at it or drive it. Why?
It looks freakin amazing-coupe or convertible.
Sounds awesome
Drives fantastic
Heads turn everywhere you go, yes the attention is nice but more importantly others appreciate it like I do.
Rare in these parts
Power rising vents just adds to its sexiness, who cares if it adds weight and complexity
Did I mention the sound, every time I make it bark and snort I look over at my lady and we both giggle. What in this world makes a 50 year old do that!?
Interior is beautiful
Has plenty of character and personality relative to the Porsches I looked at even though I would own one without question. As my Cayman neighbour said "yes maybe mines faster on the track but most of us never get there and who cares when this thing looks and sounds this good"
It's a pleasure to clean and detail.
It's a Jaguar
I love this car.....must look at it in my garage now.

Thanks for listening

Exactly!

I owned my Ftype for almost 2 years now, not a daily driver. I still sneak a look when parked in the garage.

I love this line as it just sums it all up...lol. I just told my wife that I have not enjoyed washing any of my vehicles this much since my first Camaro when I was a kid still...lol.

And yes, I sit in my special beer chair in my garage drinking a beer and staring at it...lol. Too funny.

I just set up my first chair the other day! After 25 years I just may finish my garage walls, ceiling and epoxy floor to better showcase the car.

After 30 years, I just had the drywall in the garage finished. I'll prime and paint it over the summer, then decide what to do with the floor.

I'm surprised to hear the Cayman is faster. Does anyone here own a Cayman? I'm just as interested in anecdotal evidence as I am factory data when it comes to cars. If anyone here has a Cayman I'd be interested in your opinion.

I am sure there are dozens of cars that are faster around a track, don't care.

Every time I hear Boxster/Cayman I flashback to Alan's car on 2.5 men.

Porsches are great cars and hats off to people lucky enough to have one. I LOVE all cool cars. F-Type just covers all the bases. I'd have to spend $175k on a Porsche to get as much enjoyment as my $68k F-type.

Plus unlike many here, I do like showboating, love the thumbs up from kids, etc.

I kid you not, I built a fancy garage for it...

Heated, humidity controlled, ventilated and perfectly painted.

How about some photos so we can live vicariously?

Triumph TR6 with work bench, tools, storage shelves for extra parts, compressor...

Jaguar F-Type with new epoxy floor, lighting and paint: no need for all the other stuff...

Yes please pictures. I'm starting to form ideas on what I want mine to look like. Definatley an epoxy floor, proper lighting and full drywall.
The kitchen reno can wait as I probably spend more time in the garage!

I said "Well, the wife got it for her batchelorett party, it was in the closet, please don't tell her I took it for the car."

My wife calls the car my mistress. She's right of course.
