I don't think this is a car you purchase for everyday commuting. This is a car you garage and take out on weekends etc. IMO

It is the car I bought for everday commuting (54 miles roundtrip), and it's a wonderful tool for that job.

This is my daily driver but then I only average 19 miles a day. Why waste such a beautiful car for weekends only.

Respectfully, no way! Cars are meant for one purpose: driving.

Daily driver and my only vehicle. You also live in SoCal, why wouldn't you drive it every day unless you have something even better to take out during the week?

Daily driver, April-November, when it's not raining. 15,300 miles and counting (fast!)

While the value on these cars drop, I'm yet to find a good deal from sellers on it. For example this this used base probably isn't a good value at the listed price

2015 Jaguar F-TYPE - Park Place

I don't need it for everyday, I have several other cars and a beautiful new F150 for everyday. I don't commute, if I did I would get something economical and inexpensive to drive.

That is a very heavily optioned base car, which one doesn't see very often. That's why it seems high, until you look at what that car would have cost new with those options. And those aren't Vela wheels, but the 20" carbon fiber Blade wheels.

I have 2 other vehicles available for commuting purposes as well, but I prefer to have fun on my commute.

Commuting in LA would not be fun regardless of what you drive. Hours of stop and go traffic. I'm extremely lucky and work very close to home...

I commute to Washington, DC. Every other year we trade places with LA for #1 worst traffic gridlock.

I honestly don't think I could do it. Unfortunately we have this traffic 24/7 anymore.

I know. My daughter lives in LA, but she was trained well in DC.

My Jag would be my daily driver if not for my slog through another highly-ranked (too) PACNW commute-of-pain in concert with the usual suspects--rock chips, door dings, parking garage "loogie," and on one occasion, a dumped-on-hood liquid of unknown origin. Skunks any possible enjoyment I might have had. But, as with others, I summon another set of wheels and simply chill to some tunes. When it's "Jag-Time," I thoroughly enjoy it--from start to finish! Works for me.

The armed security guards, steel barriers that rise out of the ground, and computer chip-only access protecting the basement garage of my secure downtown DC building give me great peace of mind.

Now rock chips, that's an issue that one just has to live with, but XPel Ultimate is working for me there.

Just for a point of reference I paid $71k for a loaded S conv, no 20" wheels, 4k miles 10 months old last Oct in SoCal. Over 2 months price came down from $77k. This dealer had no problem selling their new cars during that time. Hi end Palm Springs market at beginning of season, they had originally sold it previous season. Orig. sticker$94,470. I assume they still made some money.

Well as long as you don't have to park next to some congresswomen.

I have 2 out of 3. The "enemy" within is another story...

True. Though I've covered nearly everything save the steering wheel and tail pipes, give or take, protection is a hard sell during construction.
I've adjusted.
