Will the F type be a collector's car? If so, which model would it most likely be?

My two cents. There will still be gas burners on the road in 2050 or beyond. Either there will be very few, in which case no one will mind since the emissions will be too little to worry about. Or there will still be a lot, in which case it would be impossible to ban them. Gas stations will be fewer. Gas prices will rise, but that won't be a big issue since everyone who is fuel cost sensitive will want to drive an EV anyway.

And my vote for most "collectable" remains the S MT. The MT appeal will never die, it will become the new "vinyl", and there are so many fewer of them.

As more EVs get on the road, the reality of the electricity infrastructure will bite and cause a bit of a rethink, like Europeans and their diesels.

Default Do NOT sell the 69!

As much as you would like an F, please don't sell your 69 Corvette to buy an F. We had a 67 and an 81 and I can't tell you the number of times someone would say to us... "I had one like this, but I sold it to.... (fill in buy a house, had a kid, etc.) The property where we lived had a 30 x 40 garage with space for two DDs and the back half was 'shop' with heat and water. We made the decision to downsize and moved, but brought the two Corvettes (and an E) with us. When the C7s came out, we had a long discussion about what the 67 and 81 needed, what we were able to do and what made sense to do. We were able to trade the 67 and 81 for a 2015 C7. We just didn't have the ability and space to care for them as they deserved. I think my husband misses his 67 occasionally, but since I was the caretaker (and I also cared for the E and a 47 Chris Craft), he realized the C7 was a better fit for us.
That said, he did suggest to me in 2020 that I buy a 'more modern Jaguar' and that is the MY2017 v6 manual that now shares the garages. (We built a 24 x 40 3-stall in addition to the heated 30x30 attached). Fs will be around, even though they are being discontinued. The right one will come to you and when it does you will know it!
