Will F-Type ever get a sunroof?

Dont want to argue, but the F Type with the pano roof isnt claustrophobic at all. I'm not a fan of the open air experience, but driving along with the blind back, through the roof (the glass is essentially the full roof so it covers much more area than a sunroof would) I can see the moon and the twinkly highrises at night and hot air balloons in the morning, it is perfect.
On the other hand, my XFs and the XE have sunroofs which are smaller in area (the XE roof is pretty big) and annoying when they are open. The only good thing about an opening sunroof IMO is to get better airflow if you have left your car in the sun for a while, or maybe if you have dropped a stinky fart.

I hate sun roof / moon roof
Of all the cars I've owned, all had the stupid power sliding roof. I never used this feature, opening the roof. It came as part of the car but i never used it. I also hate convertible cars. Gets on my nerves if I'm in a convertible with its top down.

I've had many power sunroofs and rarely open them because of noise. However I do like the light it brings in the cabin so a pano is what I would take. However this being my first convertible I must admit it brings a whole new driving experience. I rarely drive in city traffic so its a more pleasurable experience. The feeling of openness and freedom is similar to what I like abut the bikes I've owned. Maybe my next will be a hard top R

Leaving the convertible out of the running (ultimate pano roof I guess), I had an XFR with a "regular" sunroof that tilted and opened and now the pano roof on the coupe. Hands down the pano roof wins for me. Huge amount of light allowed into the cabin when you want it but can shut it out when needed. It's like having a convertible with air conditioning ;-) One of my most favourite options on the car....

Agree it would be difficult to implement on an F Type, but I'm with OP
When deciding which car to drive on any given weekend trip, I'm forced to choose between the Jag and my supercharged M3. Both have similar performance, but I often find myself grabbing the keys to the M3 since it has a power moonroof. Seriously, it sometimes comes to that.
On a cool night, twisty road by the ocean, windows closed, moonroof open, heated seats on, can't beat it. Heck, even on a sunny day its pretty nice, you can still run the climate control with the moonroof open and stay comfortable. And can't beat a moon roof for convenience and the ability to secure the car with a push of a button.
Guess I'm an outdoorsman. When I do drive the jag, windows are usually half open.

I get the "hate" on convertibles in heavytraffic/congested areas with cars all around you. But in less dense areas or open country, I cannot express how wonderful open air driving is especially out west with cool summer evenings and open desert/mountain vistas! My wife was set against having a convertible and now she is always asking to go out for a drive with the top down...lol.
So having a sunroof in the coupe would be highly valued from my perspective; maybe a Targa option (aka, Corvette)?

back to the OP, it would be the same as with 911 and similarly curved roof line a very small opening as there is not enough room for the roof to slide into unless you make a top sliding sunroof that then sits on top of the roof and a portion of the rear window. I think that would ruin the the looks terribly.
As for the vert I never would have bought one ever for myself. I bought an XKR-S and the F Type vert is my wife's car. Now that the XK is gone and the F type is the weekend car I NEVER drive it closed unless in heavy rain or if forced in slow traffic because of blistering sun. I have done several day road trips with top down in 90+ weather wearing a hat and long sleeve shirt to avoid burn. I would never drive the car closed, the sensation the top down gives is crazy, the visceral experience is night and day. The noise from the exhaust you lose simply by raising the cloth vert top is insane.
This is in May on the Dragon, a little nippy as you can tell by wife with jacket, shawl and hat but the top is down ... always ...
