It's pretty nuts that the upcoming Z06 has a HP and torque rating of 650/650. That thing is going to be an absolute monster (and for a reasonable price given it's performance).
Will F-type have an answer?
It would be nice to see an F-type RS with AWD. Thoughts?

My personal view is no. I think the Jaguar is a trying to go for a mix of civility and muscle car and sports carness...if you get my meaning. The new Z06 is an outright track monster. Sure you can maybe use it as a GT car but it is probably not its purpose. I am sure Jag can make a stripped out track special of the F type but I highly doubt it will trounce the Z06. The ZR1 was a beast of a car and the Z06 outstrips that already from testing. Not to mention the chassis in the Z06 I have read is just mildly toned down for homologation purposes from their endurance racing Vettes. And you also get the really aggressive aero Z07 kit as an option. I think the Z06 will be too far ahead for a focused Jag to catch up. My 2 cents anyway

The Z06 is demon.
I really hope Jaguar doesn't try to compete along the performance axis with corvette, since that is a losing proposition for the business.
I would be happier if they focused on taking weight out of the chassis across the entire line instead of tuning the F for a niche performance model.
But yeah, I think I might be flamed for that

I suppose its possible they may want to special build a few track monsters just to hold bragging rights.

The current occupants of this segment (Aston, Maserati, etc) have not executed well and Jaguar identified and hit this sweet spot squarely with the F-Type.....and there is room to improve the product further!
