Will these tires fit?

That will fit with no problem. A number of folks on the forum have already done that, one or two even with a negative offset spacer (wider track). For drag tires check out Mickey Thompsons and don't expect to get more than a couple dozen miles of wear out of them. buickfunnycar can give you more detailed advice.

There is no effect on the speedometer as the overall diameter stays the same. Larger wheels are mounted with tires that have shorter sidewalls.

As Foosh confirms, you can go up in wheel size with properly matching tire profiles, but you can't necessarily go down in wheel size as the caliper/rotor dimensions increase for the S and R models respectively.

You actually have a 19x9.5 rim on the rear. The 275 is already at the upper range of fit for that rim. A 10.5" rim is actually the minimum width recommended for a 295 tire. You could still mount the 295 on a 9.5 rim, but it would look pinched and reduce the effective tire patch by creating a curvature on the tread.

Also take a look at the technical specs of the tire. i.e. some tires are larger than others given the exact same specs.. Don't worry so much about the tire numbers (i.e. 275 or 295), look at the actual width of the tire you are going to buy and size it to the wheels you are using. Most sites like Tirerack publish the actual dimension of the tires.

I will be putting on 305's on my 10.5 inch rims even though 295 is the specified limit for that rim width. If you can find a 285 tire, even though beyond recommended limits for the 9.5" rim, I don't believe it will significantly degrade your performance unless you are tracking the car.
