Wind and Noise!

Wind and Noise!
Hi all,
I had my 2010 XKR serviced yesterday and while I was waiting had a chance to test drive an F-type V6S. Bad idea! It was just so dang fun. That sound! So now I'm strongly entertaining the idea of making the change. But it also seemed significantly windier with the top down than my XKR, and the combination of exhaust noise and wind has me a (tiny bit) concerned that the novelty may eventually wear off.
For those who have now owned one of these over 6 months, are you still just as thrilled when you drive with the top down? I'm surprised the wind screen wasn't more effective.
I know this is an F Type forum and most are still probably in their honeymoon phase, but would love to hear some opinions. I'll likely head back up there this week to put it through some more paces - and maybe even try the V8
Thanks!
Bill

I am bout 2500 miles and 6 mo into ownership. I love this car. I have owned a lot of sports cars(Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Lotus, Audi) and this may be my favorite car. I have the V8 and it is just fun all the time. The power, the sound. I can be quiet and luxurious as a cruiser if you want that (did San Diego to Vegas and back), but then as soon as you put your foot in it then it goes crazy. I have driven the V6S, the V8 and the R coupe all on a track and they are VERY good. The coupe is certainly tops from a handling point of view, but the top down experience is lost. The V6 is plenty powerful and in some ways more balanced on a track, but the V8 puts you in touch with your inner "hooligan". All are very good--the sound is like nothing else. Only Ferrari and Maserati come close in my view. Good luck!
