Windshield and rear window.
I own a 2017 Jaguar F Type Coupe. Anyone having problems with windshield glass? No matter what product I try, it is remains streaky and full of lint. I even use a microfiber cloth but it mKes no difference. HELP!

A previous poster recommended a procedure, which I've use successfully ever since. Wipe the windshield down with a clean microfiber cloth that has been dampened with water. Wipe it dry with another clean, dry microfiber cloth. I was skeptical, but it results in the cleanest windows I've seen.
Might have to do it a few times if it's dirty.

Has your windscreen been treated with one of those hydrophobic liquid coatings? They can cause streaks and lint to attach if not done correctly. When I bought my F-Type the dealer had treated all the external glass surfaces with one called RainX which made it very difficult to see during rain - the windscreen went opaque with the streaking with the wipers active. If it has such a coating find out which one and then you can find out the recommended cleaning method for it (or removal method to strip it off).
The best car glass cleaner I have found is the CRL EB1701 trade glass and mirror cleaner that [almost?] all UK glass fabricators and window fitters use to clean glass after handling. It leaves a finger-print resistant surface that sits in the pores of the glass preventing soils like bird poo and insects from sticking and is moderately hydrophobic causing the water to bead up in advance of the wiper blades leaving a dry streak-fry surface behind them. It stops that annoying dust film building up on the inside of the windows too (the type that make it hard to see in direct sunlight). You buy it in 660ml cans, often unbranded as CRL also white-label it. It produces a fine white foam that clears in about 60 seconds, is sprayed on sparingly, and then buffed from wet to dry with a microfiber cloth. I can't find a data sheet listing the ingredients.
I clean all my car windows with EB1701 now, about twice a year after waxing the cars. They don't need spot cleaning between that.
I haven't used Windex (I don't recall seeing it sold here in the UK) which may be something similar. The ones for mirrors seem to be different to the normal window cleaner products because they form that coating on the glass that makes them hydrophobic.

Windex is just your average blue ammonia and water spray though I think they're getting away from the ammonia part these days. Household product, not car specific.

My glass problems are driving me nuts! I was scared to mention it here or for that matter, to anyone. I feel like an idiot. I have the wherewithal to buy an F Type, detail the crap out of it, looks soooo fine but I can't clean the glass.
I have never in my life had such issues with streaked, messy glass.
I think the cause is may be detail sprays, sealants and such are causing this.
The glass looks clean until you head into the sun and then it shows up and looks horrible.
