Default Winter mode - is it standard?

I am just curious - is "Winter mode" a standard feature on all F-types everywhere?

It's available on the V6S in the U.S.

You mean available as an option?

And if that is the case, is it standard on the V8?

Main reason for asking is that I have what in Germany is called "German Edition" - and I have no idea what that actually means? I thought it might have something to do with things like winter mode, heated steering wheel, seats and front window as standard?

My v8s has winter mode. I do not believe it was optional.

Winter mode has been standard on all models since introduction in the US. My '14 base convertible has no options and has winter mode.

No, definitely standard on my V6S. I believe Foosh is correct: standard on all U.S. models. Remember, we don't know how to drive here, so we are forced into AWD on the V8 and have DSC on all cars. Big Brother is watching us.

Thanks!
Then I know that at least Winter Mode has nothing to do with "German Edition".

Any Germans (or others) here, that knows what "German Edition" means?

Maybe the 186mph speed limiter has been removed

LOL, you "believe" I'm correct? I know I'm correct because I have base model with no options, which has winter mode. All models also come standard with dynamic and sport mode.

How would I "know" you are correct unless I fully researched it. Consider it a compliment that I'm willing to "believe" you, which is far better than merely "suspecting" you are correct.

I think it's winter/rain mode? You get slightly better highway mileage in that mode, as it almost completely ignores what you do with your right foot (except for braking, if you're into that.)

You may already know this, but apparently if you're in dynamic + sport mode the speed limiter is disabled. There was a video of someone in an F-Type R hitting 199 mph a few weeks back.

The tires are only rated for 186 mph which is why the limit is there AFAIK.
