Default Wired audio connection

Hi everyone!

I just picked up a 2016 F Type R, and I was curious if there's a way to feed music from my iPhone to the car via a wired connection. I've tried plugging into both of the USB ports in the center armrest, and audio only seems to play via Bluetooth. While that's convenient, a digital connection would work best!

Thanks!
Aditya

Ok, so I just picked up a '14 and my iPhone (11 Pro) works fine both USB wired and BT. (Even though it says it's reading my "ipod" ! )

Is your cable charging the phone when you plug it in to the USB?
Are you using a data compatible cable?
Have you plugged in another device -like a usb stick with music, to test reading from the USB port?

My 2016 V6S will play audio through the 'media' USB port; it also has a hardwire 3.5mm connection. Try turning off Bluetooth on your phone when you do it.

Hi everyone,

My F type has forgotten how to interact with my iphone. The ipod setting used to work, but now I get a "device error" and an indication there's no playable media on the phone. Bluetooth audio still works. Any ideas?

Thanks!

No one is going to help you if you cant be bothered replying to suggestions that you have asked for.

How can one proceed to trouble shoot without knowing what you have or haven' t tried.
Do what MK18 has suggested first then report back
