Default Wireless Apple/Android CarPlay.

As we all probably know, the voice button on the steering wheel, doesn't do anything unless you have your phone connected by a charger lead to the centre console, even when the phone is connected via Bluetooth. Well I took this up with the dealer who first of all assured me that the voice button would work without the phone plugged in and on charge but then he tried to demonstrate this and, like me, found it didn't. After asking the work shop technicians he came back and admitted it didn't - something to do with the voice module not being fitted on F-Types? So I went away a little frustrated and sought a solution elsewhere and found this device, a CarlinKit 3.0 wireless CarPlay adapter with carbon fiber material case suitable for use with factory wired CarPlay and supports IOS15. I bought it online from Ama@&n and installed it in less than 5 mins by plugging the adapter into usb console socket with the supplied usb lead. The Adapter is small and fits nicely into the centre console pocket. Voice button now works with Siri and phone connects to CarPlay wirelessly when you turn on the car, just select CarPlay from touch screen menu and you all set. Highly recommended upgrade.

Willing to give it a shot. Purchasing through Amazon in case I want an easy return.

I have been using a Carlinkit for the past year and have reported on it a few times to this forum.
It does avoid the need to physically connect the phone and workks pretty goo.
Occasionally I need to unplug/replug the USB plug to get it to connect - a bit like rebooting your computer or TV.
Definitely a 9.5/10. Plus now I even have Siri opening my garage door befor I get there using a Ekyro module.

If your original car does not have carplay, then our product will add carplay for your car. https://www.carputech.com/products/w...play-functions

If your original car has wired carplay, I would recommend the carlinkit adapter. As one of the suppliers of carplay products, I also approve of carlinkit's wireless adapter, both in terms of price and quality. And as far as I know, carlinkit has many websites, and this is one of the websites with better prices that I know. https://carlinkitbox.com/products/ca...koda-kia-haval I hope it will be helpful to you.

I fitted the Carlinkit when I first got my Jag. It works great. Occasionally you need to "reboot" by removing and reconnecting the USB.
I like not needing to plug in the phone which is normally in my pocket.
