Question for X152 owners with BSM, Blind Spot Monitoring.
CTA, Cross Traffic Alert is a software function of the Side Object Detection System or BSM, Blind Spot Monitoring.
Early versions of BSM are understood to omit CTA.
Did all F-Types (including 2014-15) with BSM include CTA?
Extra points: are folks with 2014-15 F-Types using later versions of SDD (Say V138 or later)?
Thanks for your help,
Bill

I pretty much never use the parking sensors in fact I turn them off most times when backing out of a tight parking spot as they beep like crazy at anything within cooee of the car which drives me nuts.
I rarely use the reversing camera, only when reversing into a tight spot up near to a wall etc.
I don't use the BSM at all and have never needed it, I just use my (properly adjusted) mirrors. I find the flashing for a car that I already know is in my so-called blind spot to be an annoyance and a distraction, one day I will get around to turning it off.
The big exception is the CTA, it is the ONLY "driver aid" that I find to be at all useful and damn it is VERY useful and has possibly saved my bacon many times.
When backing out of a tight parking spot with other cars both sides (pretty much all the time at my local sooper-dooper market), especially the very common these days ginormous trucks that the wimmins prefer as grocery getters, I literally can't see a damn thing coming across my stern until I am at least half way out as the 3/4 rear vision in the F-Type coupe is virtually non- existent, so I have to rely on the CTA to tell me if there is anything coming. So far it has worked perfectly every time!

Doesn't really answer the questions, but to add to the comments about the usefulness of the CTA I have to agree with Oz. I have all the safety options you can have in an F-Type and the only one that on a few occasions has alerted me about something I wasn't already aware of is the CTA. The lane keep assist / lane departure is constantly turned off and the automatic emergency braking has actually saved me once but the BSM doesn't add much. I've had the same BSM system for well over a decade now in the F-Type and other Jags before it and I can't remember it ever actually saving my bacon.
