Yeah, But Does Your Dealer Do This?

Good evening Sam.
If you wanted to go to Jaguar Land Rover Scarborough—where DJS gets his cars serviced—you’ll have to come to Maine [ME]. If you wanted to stay at DJS’s house, then you have the right state. DJS is a very talented photographer and BNB host! He’s also a great cook.
Make sure you leave a glowing review—and tip—after your stay. DJS prides himself on 5/5.

Speaking of DJS. I’d better clarify that I was just kidding. DJS IS a wonderful photographer and cook BUT sadly does NOT operate a real BNB. If I continue to espouse that lie, next thing you know he’ll actually be listing MY house as an AirBnB for real.

You mean the time when 15 F-Types (close to 30 people) were traveling from point “A” to point “B” and I called an audible—and my wife—that we were making an unscheduled Tequila-shot pit-stop at my house and we were only 5 minutes away? And I’m still married?
Not many wives would go with the flow—even if it’s Tequila-based—and embrace everyone…with a smile.
Thankfully no one stayed overnight. (Although Unhingd did once. He did leave a very nice tip though; which I didn’t even have to contribute to):

Sounds like you all have a great ' Too bad you are not neighborhood'. Too bad you are not further down the coast(like in S.W. Fla). Not a lot of 'Real Bugs' down this way, but we do have a great selection of Rum runners. I you want to take a little run down this way, I can point you to the best(and join in).
We drive year round, top down. When we see white stuff on the ground here, it is beach sand. Any ice we spot is in our glasses.
Our only problem is the yearly influx of 'Snow Birds'. Hopefully most will go home in a month or so.
"Galia est omnes in partes tres", also most of Fla.

As opposed to this gorgeous handmade gift—handmade by Unhingd (and you thought his only talent was modifications)—which I did contribute to. (Actually I didn’t, but was asked if I wanted to). Thanks to Mbournes thoughtful text asking if any attendees of the 2018 event wanted to contribute to “Jay’s gift”, which was thoughtfully also sent to me. That and DJS’s text to Marko saying he included me in that group text is actually the gift which keeps on giving.

Steering this thread back to it’s original intent:
Today I confirmed what I already knew two+ months ago. That Jaguar Land Rover Scarborough, Maine will be providing attendees of the next event—taking place early fall (sorry, but I reached the limits of the number of cars and more importantly people I can manage [i.e. take to restaurants***] practically the day I sent a PM to past attendees; two+ months ago) not only a beautifully double monogrammed “X” (no, it’s not really a secret but something I will keep under “wraps” for now) as well as hosting our lunch at their dealership on one of the days gallivanting around the state. Likely from one of my favorite places, The Cheese Iron.
***I wish I could accommodate more cars and people (not really) but try getting a table for 2 or 4 in Maine at any of the places we go, never mind 32-34.
I’ve also begun work on designing and producing T-shirts commemorating the event once again sponsored by Continental Tire.
As usual, after the event, I will be posting a full write up with the itinerary as well as my “With Thanks & Gratitude”.
