Default YIKES, 7 codes!

After a good spirited drive I picked up 7 codes yesterday. Thinking my high pressure fuel pump(s) died. Smelled a bunch of fuel under the hood. Codes are P0087 - Fuel Pressure system pressure low, P228F - Fuel Pressure regulator 1 exceeding warning limits, then some typical injector related codes , P0303, P1315, P0302, P0300, P0055.

Any advice is welcome.

I'll be changing the fuel filter first.

Also, Are the high pressure fuel pumps on the drivers side? I haven't dug in yet, but will today.

Pic is just my old 525 hp LS3 Crate motor in my G35 that I could just go out and beat without any issues...

Focus your attention on the right side of the engine (bank 1). Could be a bad fuel pressure sensor or regulator or leaking fuel rail. A fuel leak near those parts in the fuel circuit could be the issue.

Howver, the P055 code could indicate an electrical problem that would cause the fuel volume regulator to malfunction and open. This could account for vapors purging from the charcoal canister. If there is a separate regulator for each side of the engine, this might be your issue.

BTW, please create a signature block specifying your specific model. That can help others help you.

Does anyone have a diagram schematic of the complete fuel system? To include all parts and break down with locations? Gonna have to beef this up too.

Here's a fuel system schematic. DJS can give you access to the complete manual containing hundreds of pages on the fuel system.

What vehicle is being discussed and which engine is fitted?

If there is fuel mixing with the engine oil, main and rod bearing damage can occur.

On the AJ133 and AJ126, the high pressure fuel pumps are located on the lower RH side of the engine.

Here’s OzXFR’s V6 Repair Manual, though most of it applies to the V8 as well...

Thanks, but this isn't the repair manual I need. At lease not the one I'm looking for.

Can likely try to help more if we know what specific car/engine you have and what exactly you are looking for? Maybe I missed that?

The vehicle must be placed on a hoist or suitable stands to access the high-pressure pumps on the AJ133S.

Follow the correct procedure for releasing pressure from the high-pressure circuit as the system operates at a nominal pressure of 150 bar.

Below is a link to the AJ133 Training Course. Refer to 2-17 (page 41) and subsequent pages of the Technical Training PDF for information on the DFI system layout:

OK, Great news! It was injector 2 and 3 that gave out. I also put in a new fuel pressure regulator since I had the fuel rail out. Pumps work fine! So now I have 2 pumps at my disposal for next time I tear this apart. They are a pain in the *** to get at if anyone has done this job.
