So I had my F Type about 26 hours before dropping the key down the hinge gap on the cup holder lid. Got in, thought “where shall I put my key?” (never had one that didn’t need sticking somewhere before), thought “I know, cup holder”. Popped it open and by some crazy piece of luck it fell out of my hand and through the hinge.

So now the car cannot be locked and anyone can drive it away. When the insurance company ask where the key is you have to tell them “in the car” !!!!

To cut a long story short by about eleven o clock at night I finally got it back. Thankyou Jaguar Assistance, aka the AA.
