Default 2000 XJ8 cooling system

I have JTIS 21 on my computer. Is there a section for trouble shooting cooling system problems? I can not find such a section. Help please.

What problems are you experiencing?

Also, if you haven't done so - please take a moment to post a brief intro inthe new members section of the forum.

Default XK8 2000 Jag cooling system problem

I don't believe the version of JTIS21 has information on 2000 V8 engine except renewing an oil pressure switch. If it does I can not find it. There is on tool bar toward the left a red explanation point that says new under it. When I click on it a list of items including engine comes up but nothing happens when I click on cooling which is 303-3. I have a cooling system leak that I can not find. The coolant recovery tank has very little fluid in it and I have renewed the filler cap on expansion tank.

JTIS works on a "updated information basis". Start first in the base year for your model. A section will not exist in the other years unless there is a change to the section.

Default XK8 2000 Jag cooling system problem

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately your answer did not solve my problem. I did as you said entering year 2000 XJ8 and nothing in sec. 303 engine cooling came up. Same was true for years 2001-03 except however I entered 2004 everything in sec 303 including cooling came up. That is why I believe I do not have in this version of JTIS 21 the information I am looking for. The 2004 XJ8 appears to be similar but not exactly the same as the 2000. Suggestions please.

There is nothing for the XJ 2000 & 1999 MY because there weren't any changes.Use the 1998 section.

If you have an elusive coolant leak on a 2000 xj8 I would carefully inspect the thermostat housing and crossover pipe at the front of the motor if you see any seepage renew all of the plumbing and orings there are some good quality aluminum thermostat housings available good luck
