2007 jag seats wiring outside car

Joe, let me look at the diagrams for the seat. Based on the tags, you have the seat from out of an X-Type. Would you happen to know how many function seat it is? If not, take a picture of the side with all the controls and I should be able to figure out from there. I would recommend finding a small 7 AH battery for the seat as the motors can pull up to around 20 amps and having a power supply running all the time for the seat can be a costly piece to this. Where, using a battery, you can get away with say a 500 mA transformer and the battery sucks up the large current draw. BUt, then, this adds a piece to the overall puzzle. The circuit is easy. So, do not fret.

Joe, that is looking like the 6 way seats. Work is killing me with long hour days. Worst case I can get to the diagrams tomorrow. The big thing why I recommend the battery is you don't need a cord attached to the seat 100% of the time. You can get some movement out of the chair before needing to plug it in. On a side note, if you plan on making the seat heater work, you are going to need to find a pulse width modulator unit and a timer relay. The timer relay keeps you from burning up the seat and the pulse width modulator lets you set the seat temp. If you don't plan on having the seat heaters work, then that simplifies things. Using the seat heater would be best if you used the computer power supply. If needed, I can draw up something to help make the wiring a big easier.

Joe, most of the wiring is assuming you are going to use the switch panel on the side of the seat. If you are not going to use that, then you will need to make your own switch panel. Not a hard thing. Just going to have to find some ON-OFF-ON switches that are capable of 10 amps minimum and then create an arrangement that makes sense to you.
Send me your e-mail address in a PM and I will send you the diagrams. Doing a quick look, I think you have the 4 way seats in section 12.4, granted, the wiring colors do not match up exactly. So, may need to do some looking and see what all you may have. The key things is your orange/green wire is your positive and the associated black wire is your ground. for your power supply.
