If the 3.31 diff is from an 'E' type then you already have a Limited Slip.
A 2.88 diff from XJ-S will also already be LSD.

Sedans are hit or miss as far as LSD is concerned.

I have a locking diff with the 3:31 but to install 2:88 the offset is different so I am in need of a case.
will the LSD case for the 2:88 work in this 4HA housing and are there any available?

Just get a 1980s vintage XJ-S diff and install it in your suspension 'cage'.

They should all be 2.88 LSD.

I'll keep looking for a case but now also looking for a diff.
hoping all the bolt holes are the same and axles would be the same.
thanks for the idea

If you have an 'E' Type diff assy then the axles and lower control arms are shorter than an XJ-S.

The diff cases will fit. You might want to use the later brake calipers.
